It looks great - I made a note of it. It's about 97 min NE of Kastelruth - problem is I'll be heading NW from Kastelruth so I don't think I'll have time to get there.

Question for the group. My 992 Touring is Rubystar Neo, and the orange turn signals obviously look terrible against the paint color... If I order the clear turn signals and install them on Delivery day in Leipzig, will that give me any trouble at the port when I drop it to get shipped home? I know it seems like a stupid question, but is it possible that it will be an issue since the orange are US spec? I just wanted to do it at the factory so I could take all my pics without hating the orange lights.... Guess I could always swap them back over before leaving at port since they come on and off so easily.

Don’t modify the car till it’s home. This could cause you grief.

I read in the ED package not to touch or modify the car or it can make you liable for customs fees or something along those lines. Not worth the headache.

Edit; yes if you reinstall stock, you’re fine.

^^ This, including the edit.

And funny, I was thinking that it’s going to suck having orange indicators in the pictures from our trip. Clear indicators will be the first change once our car gets stateside. High quality problems.

Thank you @Angryinch @Lucifer @mathfuzzy those were all the reactions/answers I needed.. Ill either sub them out temporarily or deal with the orange until I get home and deal with the pics having amber.

My Car completed its build on March 9th, and as of mid last week, it had already been shipped to Leipzig for my ED this spring. For those that did Euro Delivery in the past, did you get all of the build photos of your car? I have only received the paint shop photo, and have yet to receive the last few photos that show the completed car (mostly just want to know what tires I got). Its been 11 days now since it was completed, so just curious if I should be expecting them or not.

When you guys were contacted by the Leipzig team? How's the hotel voucher works? I am trying to plan my trip, and for that, I need to know when I will be finished with the delivery (Joey said around 6pm).
Also, I learned that I could ask for two cars with two instructors on track; is that without extra charge? Because my wife isn't really into track driving, she basically said she will give it a try only if it is free.
Also - we will be landing at Leipzig after 13h flight(s) at 11 am a day before the delivery, and we really need to make it until at least 10 pm to get rid of the jetlag, anything interesting to do there?

I just got most of this situated for mine in June:
-Hotel Voucher: Joey books the hotel for the night before delivery and it is paid for directly by Porsche (Possibly a voucher in the euro delivery box that you give to the hotel)... For any additional nights, let him know how long you intend to stay, and he will lengthen your stay to that desired time frame at the Porsche rate (which is about $50/night cheaper). I am staying 2 nights, so when I go to check out at the hotel, he told me I will only get charged by them for the 1 additional night at the Porsche rate.
-He also confirmed that since my scheduled delivery window is the 12pm slot, I will arrive at the factory around noon and will be there till 6pm (Which is why I decided to stay at the same hotel for the night of delivery as well).
-I have 2 cars reserved for the 1 hour track session. At delivery it will be myself and my 2 buddies who are joining me for the trip. Since the track time is only 1 hour, they advised that I should reserve 2 cars, and that allows for 2 instructors. My two friends will share a car and an instructor so they will each have 30-minutes of driving time. I will have my own car and instructor for the full hour. This was an additional cost: 1 extra car and instructor is going to cost me about $650... but since there are 3 of us, they are going to split that cost and they each wanted a chance to drive a Porsche at the factory... so well worth the cost for them. If it is just you and your wife, you can alternate the driving between the two of you, and she can drive for as long or as short as she wants. In this case, the two of you will go in 1 car with the instructor in a lead car in front of you talking to you over the radio.. She can do a full 30min or she can do 10min and give you the rest of the driving time. They said they are pretty flexible with drivers, but with 3 people it wouldn't be worth it for me, the person picking up the car and wanting to get the most out of the track time.
-I understand that the markets/shopping area near the hotel has some good food options and is a nice place to take a walk for the evening... I would hold out for others on this thread to provide more details around things to do in Leipzig the night before delivery.

Awesome detailed answer! Thank you.
Can you share a link to the Porsche hotel?
Judging by Joey's answer regarding the timeline I guess I received a 12pm delivery as well. I honestly prefer it that way as the 8-9am delivery would be a bit risky with the jetlag.

I would not fly in the day before delivery - strongly recommend flying in two days beforehand (the ED email - the one w/all those details Toph provided - recommends this as well; I just got that email today).

I fly two days before, and land in Leipzig more than 24 hours before the actual delivery, I think it would be fine

Your flight may leave two days before, but it arrives one day before - as you said, "we will be landing at Leipzig after 13h flight(s) at 11 am a day before the delivery". I didn't misinterpret it - was just recommending adding another day in between arrival & delivery but obviously do whatever you want.

The voucher will arrive with your ED box package and are basically standard printed sheets papers that you give to the hotel receptionist on arrival. They know exactly what to fill out.

For things to do around the hotel, luckily it is situated in the heart of the city center. You won't need to take transportation -- everything is in walking distance. Restaurants, cafes, shops, bookstores, pharmacies, grocery stores, etc; very convenient!
