We'll definitely spend a few minutes chatting at the initial meeting place. But of course, early morning is prime driving time. 😉

I downloaded the route to my phone so it should work off line too. I never used it before.

I typically lay out the route on a bigger screen -- laptop or desktop machine -- for convenience. This method will produce a link to the exact route I laid out, which I can then send to whatever device will be stuck to my dash during the drive. If I had Apple CarPlay it could then be displayed on the car's infotainment screen.
I'm open to anything. When I've tried what you're saying I've had Google modify the route. It's especially tough because we're taking so many side roads.

Again, I'm open to anything.

This is why we’ll all get along …. It seems as we’re all the same person in different forms lol guess I’m not the only one trying to match my car to walkie talkies

I do the exact same. Works well. And you will not lose cell serivce on this planned route unless you have Boost Mobile or Cricket Wireless or something.

I always prefer Google maps. Does somebody want to try to give it a shot and plot out the route?

Is this the kind of thing you are talking about using Google Maps?

Will this work?

Default Carrera T northern NJ

Off topic but posting here for geographic reasons. My build freeze date is Sep 14 so won't be able to join this trip to bear mountain. I live in Glen Ridge, NJ and am agonizing over whether or not I'll need FAL. My driveway is steep, but not crazy. On the other hand this is my first 911 and planned as a forever car, so while i don't want to spend an extra $2700, I obviously will if necessary. I don't suppose anyone on here is super close to 07028 and able to drop by? I'm not getting SD, which I've read makes the overhang worse. Please DM me if you think you might be able to assist: I would be very grateful! Thanks!

Is this a 911T only or if you 911TT you can still come? I just found this thread and would join in.

To make Google Maps work, you have to add 'Stops' to keep the route correct. Otherwise, when you load the route, it won't be what you planned.

I have a route that I took through that area that was pretty good. Having trouble sharing a link because with the stops it makes the URL super long. Happy to email it to anyone if interested.

Isn't this adding "Stops"?

I have SD and I'm lowered otherwise I would stop by for ya. This might be a job for @ECNJ

Wont be able to make this but I was just running Arden Valley two weekends ago and it was great. I believe Bear is still closed but Seven Lakes / Arden / the other road off the circle were all open and good fun.

Everyone is trying to sneak in! Look what I received from some lowly GT3. Violaters will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, which is nothing 😁
So sure, you can come. But you have to stay in the back of the pack and out of the photo shoots. Oh and buy lunch. LOL 😆

(But seriously, we don't want this turning into a huge Porsche event. Metro PCA has a trek that same day for that.)

Sorry, don’t know where that is (I rarely go west or south of Hoboken / Manhattan) but PM’d u. I’m currently in NJ north of GWB or Manhattan (split time and just started back to office after 3 years of remote). Also need u to PM me back before kit goes on (soon)….I’ll try to hep u!

UPDATE- Just see u PMd. I’ll respond there. Ha, don’t want RList cops 👮‍♀️ on me for discussing off topic here again.
