Sorry just getting a chance to respond to all of this... I am up for whatever, but as @AdamIsAdam mentioned, might be better to avoid going too far west to help cut down on the drive back for those of us heading long distance... I will plan to meet first thing in the morning, and I can either do the CT option or head straight to our final destination... that might be more of a game time decision as we get closer to the weekend, know what the weather looks like etc... Since I don't know the area well, I am sorry I can't be more help on suggesting specific routes for the actual day/event. I'll keep my eye out here for more updates and will look into what has already been suggested more too. Thanks for planning!
When I hit Bear Mt, I usually go up Kanawauke Rd, hit Seven Lakes Dr briefly, and then back down Arden Valley Rd (or vice versa). Those are the best and longest two twisty roads in the park (imo), and you avoid the more crowded sections further east.
I have a 718 Cayman but may have to come join all you Ts for a bit
i used to participate and formerly volunteer in organizing the annual bear mountain MR2 meet. it has been going on for the last 20+ yrs where we start at the Sherton Mahwah and drive up through Harriman State Park up past Bear Mtn, through Storm King Highway past west point and all the way up to the Newburg mall. we used to stop in New Windsor, NY but has been difficult to find open parking lots to have final meeting place to gather. over the years, the meet has grown to over 200 cars so we have outgrown all of our ending places.
Social media posts from the area are reporting some of the roads will be closed for months. NY-218 being the worse and needs a full rebuild. Others may remain closed until federal disaster funds come through. Might be time to start thinking of a good back up location. No one wants to be driving through gravel, construction, and repaving operations to get to Bear.
One of the government officials is saying this was a 500-year flood.

is this a 992 only meet, or can i attend with my older peasant model?
I'm thousands of miles away so even if I had my 992 T (57 weeks after deposit, still no allocation) I wouldn't be going. I do think it would be cool to have both generations of Carrera T in attendance. Just sayin......

Back in the day, my GF had a red MR2. I used to drive it a lot. She would beg to drive my 300zx twin turbo so we’d switch. Amazing to hear u have a group that large that r into the MR2. My older bro also had a MR2 turbo. I also used to drive his. It’s a super fun car. Mid-engine balance, that twin cam motor, can’t remember exactly but I think it had 7,500 rpm redline and a short throw shifter like no other! He’s a car designer and worked with Toyota for over a decade in the past. One day, he gave me a call and asked if I wanted to go to Vegas for the weekend cause he had an LFA in possession. Throughout his career in the industry, he would get a new car almost weekly to test. He must have driven over 500 different cars. He flew regularly to Japan to assist in LFA development. It was developed there. He’s worked on a ton of noteworthy industry stuff but the LFA is one of my favorites. We took it to Vegas from LA. I’ll never ever forget the sound of that exhaust and Yamaha engine. I’ve been in a CT lot of supercars, but it’s still one of my favorites all-time.
As for the T-meet, just something I started mentioning in the 992 T Club thread and few of us including @tourenwagen and @AdamIsAdam decided early on in doing it. I think we want the meet to be somewhat intimate, but I’d say more the merrier. Can’t imagine more than 20 to 30 cars showing up. I recall @tourenwagen mentioning some of his friends with the 991.2 T wanting to join. Feel free to join us with your MR2. Ha, we may only ask the non- 992 T people to park separately at least for any photo shoot. @tourenwagen is a pro photographer so I’m sure he’ll direct us that day! Again, I’m good with anyone wanting to join. Other attendees feel free to chime in.
Lastly, we’ll monitor how things go with the flood problems in area of late. Hoping roads clear up by 9/9 (I think 9/9 is official date based on survey). But if not we’ll figure out later a better spot. As u know lots of great roads upstate NY….
BTW, sorry for the slow response. I’m usually 2 busy but to chat only on the main 992 Carrera T Club thread. Ha, so many threads here including T sound system, etc. I’ll try to visit here more often.

Agreed on all of the above. Especially on the MR2 having to park far away! (just kidding! lol)
There are many other roads and places we can go. We'll work that out as we get closer.
Morning start, not exactly sure yet because there are people coming from far. So we'll either meet in sloatsburg early, 7 or 8, and then have a second meeting spot for those coming from far that morning.
We'll have to firm this all up as we get closer, partly because many roads are now closed for repair since sunday's flooding.
