Hi -

I am relocated to Southern Maryland and looking for recommendations on mechanics closer to the area., it seems most recognized shops are farther north :-)
I had originally asked in another part of the forum and was recommended to look here.

On a side note, second Porsche, this one is a 996.1 and have been really pleased with it, the other one was dealer maintained ....

Any suggestions for buying and having tires installed on a 958 CTT? In Montgomery County preferred but willing to travel a bit for someone who won't scratch my rims or charge me an arm an a leg.

Also, my rears need to be replaced. Fronts on still pretty good. Currently running stock Michelins but curious what folks would do - i.e. just replace the 2 rears? Or replace all 4 with more of an "all-season" tire? The Michelins suck in the snow but then again, we don't really get much snow in MD and they seemed to do just fine in NH this winter as long as I drove reasonably.

Hey Y'all MDers, been active on RL for years, but keep failing to check back in these regional subforums.

Carlisle Swap was fun Saturday (took 2nd place in people's choice class too,.... BEST parking in the swap for an extra $10!!!). I didn't need any parts, so for me the best part was walking the Porsche Parkenplatz, meeting owners & checking out their cars! Did you guys see the yellow 356 that won best in show? stunning.

@JJakes I've been on Michelin Lattitude Sport for my 958 CTT summer tires too. Love em, but don't get enough miles out of them (I run a Lattitude Tour HP all-season on my winter rims from Dec - April, but mostly cuz I run them out on the Hatteras beaches & jeep turnouts for my Spring Kiteboarding trips). Not sure if I'm going to go back to the same Michelin Lattitude Sport again. Let me know what you research & end up going with. I definitely want to run a performance summer tire only though since I autocross it (I'll be autoXing it at the French Lick IN parade this July too, so I need to get them in the next month or so).
