The last time I was at Silver Spring they were talking to me about the remodeling they are going through and was going to end up with a customer viewable service bay. I'm guessing it'll be a similar setup to this.

I'm not really liking my front license plate solution (tow hook), I have parking sensors so it is getting annoying and I don't really like the appearance of the drop tow hook solution to get out of the way. Seems like the two best options are either the Carbonio or the Skene Design. Anyone use any other options? Or have experience. I dont want to drill holes (viewable holes) in the bumper but I also wonder how well the tape is going to stick.

take it off and leave it off. Have been driving like that since Jan. No issues yet.

992--Winter wheels/tires??
Hi all, new 992 cab owner here, in Montgomery County:
Wanted to get others' thoughts on buying winter wheels/tires. I've read and re-read the extensive threat in the 992 forum but still would like to get Marylanders' opinions on this. As you know, we haven't gotten much snow lately (maybe we will this year, they certainly are off to a great start out West in ski country), so it's more a matter of cold temperatures.
So, do most people get a winter set-up and, if so, what do they do? Is it wheels and tires, like the 19/20 set offered by Porsche, with wheels and tires, or just get tires and swap summer for winter when the time comes? And where do people get this done? Again, I'm Montgomery County.
Many thanks to all.

Congrats.
I'm going on 110+ consecutive weeks (not by choice) on all-seasons for year round driven GT4. However I do not drive it in snow. If I knew I was going to always be out and about, and or know I may get caught in snow, I'd get snow specific winter tires vs. all-seasons, on a 2nd set of wheels. I ran Blizzaks on my GTI years ago...when it used to snow here, and I was able to keep up with lifted 4x4s on day old, moderate depth snow. Not as much when on all-seasons.

Yeah, super nice 911. I just got into a 911 as well. Right now my car has summer tires. I guess I should think about getting all seasons as mentioned above when these wear our. I don't ever plan on being in snow with it though, but the cold weather and summer tires....all seasons seems like a good alternative.
