I'm not quite sure how but I managed to blow it up on the first lap. Then I got caught speeding and got black flagged. Just wasn't my nigh I guess because I love Mosport. NJMP should be fun, I wonder if they will ever finish the backgrounds.

Julian and I had another good race back in 4th and 5th, he got me near the end, he kept crawling back, be right on me and then loose a second or two and in a lap or two he was right back on me.
Note to self, didn't realize the replays also recorded the audio, don't say anything bad :-)

I also just realized that the recording software I use, records the Rift mic.
Gotta figure out how to disable it - unless everybody wants to hear when my wife comes down to ask, "Are you done yet???"

I tried to run iracing on my macbook that I use for school and to my surprise it runs it decently well on one screen. Getting 65 to 90 fps with all the car stuff at high detail. Just started with iracing and I'm addicted. I'll be slowly collecting parts to build a good PC and get some VR goggles.
Finished my budget PVC rig as well. Most of the materials bought with lowes gift cards from the inlaws for christmas. Pretty happy with it. Still need to paint it black and redo some cuts when I get a better saw. Did I mention my wife loves me. Haha.

Tough race at NJMP yesterday. I like most of that track except a few of those awkward curves. Doug was keeping good pressure on me for quite a few laps, but then disappeared from my mirror and ended up in a battle with further back.
Where do you guys want to race next week? Jim and I were discussing other North American tracks that the PCA uses for DE or racing. Any requests? I think it was Edmund who wanted the Nordschleife, which I'm ok with, but everyone needs to learn that track before hand otherwise it will be a frustrating night.

Yeah I don't remember NJMP collecting people so much before. Once I got my rhythm back it was OK but man that place is tough and frustrating.
Had a pretty good 3-way battle going for P2 for a long while. Doug was up there holding his own but I think he lost the back end coming out of T10 if memory serves which let Edmund and I by. We had a kick *** battle for a long while before I decided to try slipping up inside of him going into T6. I didn't quite "have" the corner, was just baaarely inside of his rear bumper when he turned in and we connected (DAMMIT!) It was aggressive on my part and I was HOPING he was gonna give it to me though I don't know why I thought that given the back-and-forth we'd had in T5 several times LOL.
We both wound up going off, which allowed Phil and Doug to catch back up. I got back on the track but it seems the tires hold on to dust/dirt a while because I immediately went off (or, almost) entering T9 (stupid turn!!!!!!!!) and that let Phil by. We had a good battle for a bit, wound up 2-wide through 7-8-9 which was hairy! but fun with Doug RIGHT behind us. I knew he was going to follow whoever "won" that battle meaning it wasn't a fight for 1 position - it was a fight for 2... so I held on. Managed to keep it together.
Good battle for me for easily 3/4 of the race. Still bummed about the tap to Edmund... I guess there's always next week for him to get me back LOL.
I've got my Rift cam view almost ready to upload (I wanted to load it into the editor and crop it a bit). I'll record the race with the usual TV cameras later today and try to get that uploaded too.

Yes, I was just hanging around for the scraps, as long as Jim, Edmond and Doug were racing I was just watching from a second or two behind. Agree with Jim that section was tight with the 3 of us, I'm guess Doug veered off course to keep from hitting me is why we lost Doug. But that should look good in the video.
I think the biggest problem with NJMP is it's still a tech track, I use landmarks a lot for breaking and turn in points and there isn't much there to use for that.

I had a couple of good battles and places kept changing as mistakes were made. On the final lap Ben (87944Turbo) and I tried to occupy the same space at 9. It didn't work and my car was bent enough that when I turned into 12 the final time it turned too much and I ended up with a 19 sec penalty after the finish for cutting the course.
