Can't speak for the CV1 guys, but with the DK2 I don't wear my glasses and the limiting factor is still the resolution of the rift. My prescription is pretty weak, but for some reason the rift still seemed pretty sharp... even though being sharp just means I see the pixels more clearly. I wonder what pixel density would match my myopia.

Another good race tonight. Jim and I were really close on pace, but I couldn't match his launch and then made a couple small mistakes that took me out of the chase. We were talking about saving Daytona for when the Porsche comes out later this month, so be prepared for a last minute schedule change when the new car gets released. Until then, lets do a few more North American tracks with the RUF track car. Mosport next?

Hi All,

I'll do my best to have my rift thing fixed by next Wednesday, I love Mosport. I did a few practice laps today and turned a 1:21.9 on my third lap before my frame rate took a nose dive. Not fast by any means but over a second faster than anything I had done before. One thing that may be part of the problem is I don't have enough USB 3.0 ports on my motherboard. I have a new PCI to USB 3.0 card coming tomorrow with 4 isolated ports. I hope this helps.

With a little luck i'll be on track Wednesday.

Another good race tonight with an improving turnout. Next week we're doing NJMP thunderbolt unless the Porsche comes out and then we're switching to Daytona.

Jim's going to try to get the video of tonight up which had a few good battles up and down the field.

I'll try my best to get the vid up. Machine acting weird. Went for a reboot and it's been stuck on the Restarting screen for 5+ mins now.

Yeah good race, I was watching your times on the relative screen so much that I had to turn it off. I wish iRacing had a drag strip to practice starts, I really need to work on that.

Hopefully one of these days I can be up front racing with you two.

It's all in the clutch. It doesn't seem like it's possible to "light em up" outside of having TC set to 1, flooring it, and dumping it into gear. If you use the clutch and drop it, it will just bog. So I slip the sh*t out of it. (Hey I'm not the one who has to put a new disc in it after the race so why not?) ~7k RPM and work as much throttle in while walking the clutch out to hold 7k or so.

Justin definitely had me working hard last night. I gave it everything I had and aside from a few laps, we seemed to be 0.5-0.7 apart the entire time. He had me in the front section and I seemed to make up time in that tight double-right in the back - that got me close enough to catch a bit of a draft and close the gap up down the back straight. All I needed to do was get in front of him long enough to cross the S/F line (as he certainly would've gone back around past that point) but I just couldn't make it stick. 2-wide through the S's at the end of the back straight, twice, was enough for me LOL.

My PC was acting odd last night (actually been acting odd the last few days). After exiting out of the sim from our race, I could interact with the web browser fine but the actual Windows interface (Start button, etc.) was unresponsive. Very odd. I tried rebooting and it sat on the "Restarting" screen for 30 minutes. Wound up doing a hard reset. Got back in (took it forever to boot, too), checked "WIndows Update" right away and... lo and behold... a pile of updates.

Seems that Win10 pushes out updates once a month - and when they do, it jacks with the PC. Hopefully it's better now - it took it over an hour last night to take the updates.

I'll try to get to some recording of last night's race this afternoon when I have a moment. Working from home today so I should be able to slip down to the basement.
