The fine folks at Kunos just got the Porsche License for Assetto Corsa. From what I've heard there will be 20 cars split between 2 packs.
I'm fairly new here, but my GT4 arrives in a few days and I've been hugely into driving sims for many years. I've always favored the sim that provides the most realistic driving experience (keyword is driving, not racing), so naturally Assetto Corsa has been my favorite for the past few years. I'm extremely excited that they were able to get the Porsche license.
Here's my setup although I recently have switched from a triple screen setup to the Rift CV1. It's definitely a game changer for driving sims.

Assetto's really not bad, and IMO they have street cars down pretty good. IMO their full race cars are a little off... too video-gamey... but the street stuff feels great.
If I just want to hop on and screw around, I'll use AC so I'm not bugging real people.
I read their update this morning about Porsche and I'm excited for it! I downloaded a Cayman once for AC (some unofficial add-on) and found out later it had a virus embedded in it... no more unofficial downloads for me.

LeMans is AWESOME.
Just kinda bummed no Porsches in the fun races.
Down to a 4:03.8 (with regular laps in the mid 4:04's) in the Audi, I figure that should handle about the same as my Cayman anyways. No idea how some guys are doing 4-flat in the Audi tho.

I think with a good draft there would be a lot of time to find. I did some laps in the LMP2 car. That's pretty fun too, but still I'm off the pace. I can run in the 3:36 and I thought that was fast, but then you see some guy blast out a 3:32 and totally disheartens me. I'm sure with more laps I can find more time when I figure out exactly how to take the curbing. I'll probably move back to the R8 again; I like that car better.

Cool. I'm getting a little better in the R8 - did a 4:02.5 in a race over the weekend. Good point about the draft - I've yet to cut a lap where I've had a good draft the entire way around.
As per usual for me - I'm in the "no mans land" for lap times. I'm either WAY faster, or WAY slower, than the guys in the room. It's rare I find a session with people that I can run with.
I love the look and feel of the LMP2 car but I've never been able to get a good grip on cars that use a ton of aero. My brain just doesn't work well with the concept of "go faster to gain grip".

I was wondering why there is no night version of Le Mans. They must be planning dynamic transitions pretty soon if they didn't bother developing the night lighting at Le Mans... the one track that really should have it.

The races during the week 13 are CRAZY. I tried one and did ok in the R8, but a standing start from inside the chicanes is doomed. Most of the first 2 laps was just dodging wrecked cars.

Are we going to have a league this year? I've got one more race at Summit Point next weekend and then I'm done for the season. I loved the Ruf Track but I hated the other one. Maybe if I got a perfect pedal for my G27 I would like it better?

I ran 2 or 3 races. Survived them all... but it was pretty much "tippy toes" for the first half of the first lap. I let a LOT of guys pass me right away, only because I knew (and so far am batting 1000) they'd just take each other out in the first few turns anyways.
I haven't driven the C-Spec in a long time so I'll definitely be rusty with it. Been spending a lot of time in the Audi since it handles a little more closely to my Cayman.
