Not sure if I'll make it tonight tho Wife informed me of a dinner invitation. Hoping to reschedule but I don't know if that's actually going to work.

 

It should be all set up. Ready to launch a pile of 997s into the pines.

 

I took a few laps last night. It's not very realistic. No deer.

 

Sorry couldn't make it, we have some people in this week and had to do dinner tonight. Next week isn't going to be any better as I have to be in Phoenix again. :-(

I thought I was going to give you a race last night Justin. Until I put a wheel off and spun it. Not sure how I ended up in a tree with two corners to go.

 

Can the league run at a "tech track"? If yes, how about NJMP Thunderbolt?

Nurburgring comes out Tuesday, so we could do it next week. Or we could run NJMP. What would you guys prefer? There's the monster Nordschleife and the GP track that will be ready.

 

The only downside to holding a "race" at the Nordschleife will be self-attrition LOL.

I've already got a lot of laps under my belt there in Assetto Corsa. It's awesome. But even I can't go more than 2-3 laps around that place without eating armco LOL. Actually.. come to think of it, I don't think I've ever made it 3 *complete* laps without binning it.

1st lap is sketchy due to cold tires for the first half. 2nd lap is usually a good, solid time. 3rd lap when I really start to pick up speed = death.

I can only imagine trying to PASS people at the same time LOL. Maybe we make next week a total/pure "fun" week, and set it to unlimited instant repairs, etc?

 

I was leaning towards the GP track so I can at least learn part of the course in a repetitive lapping environment before taking a crack at the Nordschleife section.

 

It would be fun to race the Nordschleife but It would be nice to get some practice in before the race. I've only ever driven it in Grand Turismo. I vote NJMP this week and NS next week.
