I didn't like my WGI setup. Justin's for Mosport is much better IMO. YMMV.

I'm with you Stephen, I like a more stable setup, Sean usually creates some good neutral setups. One reason I race a 968 instead of my 911. That said I did try Jusin's setup last night and after adding 2 clicks in the rear wing and learning to drive differently I was able to make it work, but still always catching the car.

Disclaimer - I suck at setups, I use others and modify them like the caveman autocrosser I am.

Usually I like Justin's and Julian's setups, as well as some others. Typically I will run them, nearly completely untouched for practice and qualifying. I then add in 1-2 clicks more rear wing and 1 click of more front sway bar for the race. My outright speed isn't quite as high but every off track mistake I've ever made in a race involved oversteer not understeer so this strategy works for me. I'd rather turn a million high 1:17 second laps than one low 1:16 and crash out.

EDIT: I forgot to do this last week. Thus 2 spins but some decently fast hot laps.

My preferred strategy is one high 1:17 then crash out.

Does it seem like it understeers more or oversteers more with low fuel? I was wondering earlier if the low fuel could be part of why we were running into oversteer partway through the race.

Haha nice. Seems like half the field is running a Rift now...can't decide if I want to go with the triple screens or a Rift

I decided to wait until the consumer product before I make the jump, but I already have the triple monitors.

I'm still running triples. I'd be very curious to see how newer adopters like Justin do long term.

I have triple 120hz and a rift. I need more time in the rift to draw any big conclusions, but I am seriously tempted to go DK2 rift exclusively. It will be a no brainer when the consumer version comes out. Rift all the way. If you are thinking about 3 60hz monitors, skip that and go straight to the rift.

First I'll need a new computer and a graphics card that will actually draw everything. I keep meaning to but that's more then a set of tires.

Interesting. I may just stick with the TV until the consumer Rift comes out.

Anybody up for a rolling start practice tonight? Thinking of hosting a 1-hour practice with a quick race at the end if there's interest

Understeers on low fuel.

To me - it's no contest. I felt it was no contest with the DK1 - though I will admit that it took me a long time to get that way. Probably 30+ hours of use to finally feel comfortable ditching my triples.

DK2 - 100% ditch the triples IMO.

I did. Key is to really force yourself to use it exclusively at first to get accustomed to it. You might have to adjust some of your reference markers, etc. and some folks IMO don't give it enough time. They get mad that they can't set the same lap times and give up. You might have to re-learn a few tracks, but once you do - going back to triples will feel FLAT. The difference between being there, and watching a TV recording of being there.
