We're all in iracing, we have our own league set up in the service.

We use the RUF Track (essentially a GT3R). Practice Sunday nights, races Wednesday nights.

Having a hard time getting motivated moving the wheel setup from the living room (PS3/GT6) to the office (PC).

Ok ok, we can't have that. I'm hosting a practice session tonight. Details to follow later.

Sounds like it's time to put our "serious" hats on.

Count me in for practice today. I *should* be able to make the race this week, depends how late a meeting runs. Are we dropping a race this season?

I will see about jumping on for a bit tonight. It's almost 80 degrees here (Chicago) which is *really* rare so most likely I'll be doing something outside with da family. But if not... I'll head to the basement.

Just normal "boot". Hopefully iracing gets all the bugs worked out today from the most recent build. They are slowing the Ruf down a little to match the other GT3 cars.

Ok iracing is offline now for the maintenance. I'll set something up from 6pm-8pm MST, maybe longer like a 4 hour session depending on when the patch is really done.

I did some goofing around a few minutes ago (working from home today) after reading some things about the Rift and iRacing.

Gator - you mentioned having bad blurriness/jumpiness when playing iRacing in the Rift. Are you using the "Extended" mode, or the "Direct to Rift" mode?

I've been running in "Extended" mode, but read a post from a guy in the IR forums about how "Direct" mode is, "Smooth as silk." So I decided to try it... and I got really bad ghosting and blurriness if I moved my head much beyond an extremely slow rate. It seemed like it was smooth, but really blurry. Ugh. If you're in Direct mode - switch it (make sure you edit your display properties to rotate the display to landscape and set the refresh rate to 75Hz) and try that. Should be a BIG difference.

I'll try to get on tonight... It was such a nice night the lady and I took a run down Lime Creek Rd. in the Miata before stopping for some County Line BBQ.
