This year I will be going to Watkins Glen for the PCA race and it will be my first time there, hence I want to get some practice in.
Spent a little time at Road America with a few different cars just to see how close I could get to my real time there, found one car is like ~4 seconds faster (and there is probably more time there) and one car about ~3 seconds slower ( but there might be some more time there also). At least both of these cars have about the same braking points unlike the RUF car I can go in so much deeper and would really screw me up :-)
I think you can adjust the power by using the map adjustment in the sim. I am going to the Glen club race as well, drove the Glen for the first time last year awesome track. Hired Peter Argetsinger for an hour
made a huge difference, he has a lot of experience on the Glen, has some unique lines and visual queues that work really well. If you want can walk you through them sometime.

I doubt I can find a rig, but here are my delicious travel plans.

Monday: Dulles --> Houston --> Tyler
Tuesday: Tyler --> Houston --> Ft. Lauderdale
Friday: Ft. Lauderdale --> National

I considered doing Ft Lauderdale --> Clearwater --> Steal Speed3 Back --> Auto-train --> Lorton, VA. But, Auto-train is sold out with snowbirds coming back .

Phil,

Use the Solstice and then when you get to the track forget all the brake points you learned in the sim. For some reason it always seems like cars in the sim brake better than real cars do

Burkey, thanks for the offer, I PMed you.

Jim, Yea I tried the Mustang, Solstice, and the MX5, Mustang was tail happy and a little faster, the Solstice was pretty well balanced but slow like ~10+ slower, the MX5 was closer.
But take your point, just learning where the track turns left, turns right, where it might be off camber, which is the worst corner.

Solstice seems to move around and slide with the same balance as my 951 before I messed up my bar settings.

My current Clubsport wheel settings for anyone who's interested (hasn't made me more talented but is much more effective at transmitting what the car is doing through the wheel than the stock sets):

SEN 900
FF 100
SHO 100
ABS 095
LIN OFF
DEA OFF
drI OFF
FOR 100
SPR 100
DPR 100

In game options > Force Feedback
Enable Force Feedback (check)
Use linear mode (check)
Strength (currently 20.6, but have seen people run 18-23 dep on preference/track etc.)

Thanks for the session Chris. It's weird in that I had no flyer laps, just a ton within about .3-5 of each other that were all decently fast.
