That sounds more like a monitor problem with the blurring. I think what you need is a low latency, low persistence monitor. Forget televisions completely IMHO. They are too slow and inject delay which is the true enemy of racing. HDMI cannot pass a 120HZ at 1080p signal to a monitor, so whatever samsung you are looking at is taking the 60hz signal from the HDMI and adding in extra (artificial) frames to upscale it to 120HZ.
My goal when I build my system was to run at a true triple screen 120hz at 127fps (the first prime number over 120). I needed 3 outputs capable of 120hz at 1920X1240 which is either displayport or dual link DVI. That narrowed down my gpu selection. I have a HIS 6950 which has a dual DVI and 2 mini DPs. Frame rate is capped at 127, but I rarely see that unless it's a simple track with not many cars. My monitors are not huge, but are each capable of 120hz natively. 3d monitors are typically what you are looking for. These are what I have: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX36992

@JustinL - I hear you on the Samsung TV. Unfortunately, given our current living situation, I cannot do the three monitor approach or any monitor at all. When we were in the house I definitely had room, and we are considering buying something a little further out later this year, in which case, I will have my own room area. When I mentioned the "blurring" it looks more like a frame rendering problem. That is, a portion of the frame is offset either horizontally or vertically, but I guess that could be introduced by the drivers of the TV or any attempt to up-scale from the PC signal. I don't think it is a length of cable issue as the "blurring" used to happen with the old cable distance of only about 2 meters.
@NY991 - Looks like my original setup! The difference was that I was sitting on the floor, the wheel was attached to a coffee table (sitting on the floor right now typing from that coffee table), and the pedels were pushed up against the TV. Wasn't any slower back then, but having a real seat makes the experience more comfortable. I would either 1) get an umbutu for 3 screens or 2) building something myself like Justin did with his Ikea tables (I bought the same one for my mouse and keyboard

Saw this in another group session... Interesting management
Setups for this event: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/db5igwvnkme44s3/3po2_gJ9Dy
Daily practices will be held every day at the normal event times, with the weekend's event settings, thus you will be able to practice in exactly the same situations as the actual events will be running in.
In order to guarantee proper practices, Monday - Wednesday sessions will be open to the public, on regular hosted rooms to simulate larger fields and Thursday - Saturday will be league ONLY, found under League Sessions.
All practices will have a 25 minute race in order to enable everyone to practice the rolling starts and various race situations.

Didn't get on till the last 15 min...
Windows updates... Ugh....
Still tweeking new computer build...
And couldn't get near my sun afternoon session magic of 1:44.7
The rig feels so diff after spending the better part of sun night not watching the game and playing my buddies full motion rig.... Wrecked me now that I'm back on mine

Sounds like somebody will host a practice again tomorrow. One thing I wish I could do is make up a trading paints scheme. I started looking into it a few weeks ago and when I saw how many layers there were in gimp I was just snowed over.

Andrew you really don't touch their layers you add your own, so you will add quite a number of layers, best to create a layer for each thing you want to add. Just makes it easier to move, change, redo this way. There is a couple of good video tutorials on how to use Gimp with iRacing.

Pmason was right, this is way easier than I realized. I have also decided against the UF scheme. I am going with something more insidious and hideous; a random collage of internet meme images. Here are a few of the samples I will play with before our race on Wednesday.
