Which configuration will we run, have Sunday practice on the Moto and the race is on the competition. I am assuming its the competition, thats what they usually run.

 

Competition is the layout we are running. I'll be able to turn a couple laps late tonight.

 

That's what I was thinking when I saw Kansas on the schedule, but then I saw it was a track the Tudor Series is running.

Autoclub is not bad. It's a bit funny with an autocross section and an oval section. I found my VIR setup worked pretty well. It's bumpier than it looks, so maybe a sebring setup would work too. I'm going to be killing a LOT of cones here!

 

At some point, maybe later on during spring, I'd like to race with you guys, but in a different car. See how it turns out. Maybe the MX5 Cup or if you guys think it's too slow, maybe the skippy or the Star Mazda.

For me, I have little interest in switching cars. The RUF race is my favorite car in iRacing. The new BMW coming out sounds interesting though.

On average, when racing with THIS group, my bet is you'll have the best racing with the RUF Track. Everybody is starting to get used to the car. Switching into an unfamiliar car for most will just result in a crash fest.

That said, I'm sure folks will randomly host sessions with different cars for the fun of it. I like playing in the Miata and Skip on occasion.

 

The Star Mazda is my second most favorite car.

I have been running in the MX5 series at the same time as our league and it does take a little while to jump between the two. Last night I have my best MX5 race, some how I ended up on the pole (but I knew faster guys in practice and qualifying) I was able to pull a 4~5second lead up till lap 9, as I was fitting my mental game, too worried about screwing up, and of course I spun, dropped down to 3rd, got back up to 2nd and by the finally lap I was within a second of the leader, but finished second.
I need to work on my mental game.
Sorry for the long story but I think one here and there, that is why the guys set up that Fun Race area under the league, we did have one MX5 practice I think in there.
