No practice tonight? Figured I would still join even if I couldn't make the race as Barber seemed like a fun track.

Ran a few laps tonight in a test session after the official practice as I was out for mother-in-law's day dinner. I forgot how much I enjoy Barber. Great track. Needs lots of patience with the long slow corners that drop away from you. Throttling up feels fast for a bit until you track out into the dirt.

Sean and I ran for a hour or so. I hadn't been there before, lots of fun on that track. There are some really fun corners and some that can bite real hard.

It's a great place to go in real life too. WIDE surface - you have to try hard to run out of track. Facilities are beautiful too. Like Disneyland.

Crunch time for me in the garage though. Probably another 15-20 hours of time needed still to get my car running so I probably won't be on for a while. I still owe you guys the video from Daytona - I'll get to it, I promise. Got the exhaust buttoned up over the weekend, new battery cables run, boost control lines re-routed, coolant/radiator hoses installed, oil cooler and PS lines installed and routed... still have to lay in the new harness, finish connecting battery cables, then the top half of the motor....

I love Barber. Such a great track, and sliding the car around the track is a blast. Jack and I had a good time running together.

Jim do you have a deadline for something or just on a mission?

Planning to make the trek to Parade this year. Not to do much in the way of official Parade activities outside of the autocross... and then cruise up and down the coast all week and stuff myself with seafood. I'm also signed up for the DE at Laguna at the end of Parade.

But to be able to manage the time off of work, I have to leave a week early and drive to LA and work out of our LA office for a week. So I have to get my car together, running, and tested with enough run time on it to feel confident using it for 3 weeks in California.
