Lancia Delta Integrale HF 16

I pulled the rear diff to upgrade the carrier to a tubular one and add a chassis cross brace. While diff was out I decided to replace the seal, which had a little leak. Also replaced CV’s on diff side with new, unfortunately the wheel side CV’s are not currently available so will replace when I can get them. I repacked the CV’s with grease and they seem in good condition. Lastly, replaced hub bearings. Just about everything is new on the drive train.

I like to add little details which I don’t always share. I made a small skid plate for the new rear diff carrier. It doesn’t really need it, because the diff is protected, but it looks cool and is functional.

Lancia finally went back for alignment since adding the tube diff support and trailing arms. I also changed ride height since the 16” wheels have much more clearance, car drives wonderfully and zero rubbing. So much fun

The front suspension / body stiffeners arrived and they are nice, but I could have made myself and saved time and money. As usual, nothing fits as expected , but it’s not an issue. I will add some additional tubes and skid plate to protect the drivetrain. What I built previously is almost equal to what i bought to add support.

My front grill “Red” trim pieces were broken and glued, drove me nuts. Joel at Walkers Garage, which I love, sent me replacements and instructions on how to replace. Everything went great and I am ready for C&C tomorrow to represent Lancia the proper way

Update on the Lancia. My friend who is making me the wire harness connector to use with the Motec M130 ECU has been busy and is now finishing up the schematic and hopefully start the wiring soon.
In the meantime, I purchased a ECU chip for the stock Lancia ECU from TancBarratt out of Italy that is mapped for 1.5 bar (21lbs) boost. The chip works great and the car is a beast, but still shy of aother 100 plus hp. Unfortunately, the air/fuel is not good throughout the power band. In order not to be lean at full boost, the car runs rich at idle, which is not great. My buddy suggested a VRG (variable rate gain) regulator made by Blip Speed Motorsports. It allows the fuel pressure to be set for idle within the correct air/fuel ratio so not to be too lean or rich and then the VRG adjust the fuel pressure when at full boost, so not to be to lean or too rich. The car runs really nice, but still a hair rich at full boost, but perfect at idle and through the power band. A little more tweaking and it will be great until the Motec comes and we can get the 450hp....right now the car is impressively fast cant wait to see what it will do with twice the hp of stock.

Quick shifter fitting - centre console
Hello, I've just come across your thread regarding fitment of a Lancia Delta quick shifter kit and I have the same kit for my 16v Integrale. I have managed to fit the new shifter and parts provided, but when I have come to refit the centre console, the screw hole at the back of the console
behind the seatbelt buckles no longer lines up as the console it fouling against the newly raised position of the mounting for the gear shifter. Did you experience this problem when fitting your kit please? Thanks. Ben

Hi Ben, I dont recall having any issues with short shifter or the center console not fitting.
