"Supply issues due to the large number of Cayenne battery failures from the provider LGChem company, who has a large history of defective Lithium batteries."
The Cayenne LGChem Lithium LiFePO4 batteries, which were supposed to last up to 10 years, are just another example of problematic batteries from LGChem.
LGChem batteries have been failing as early as just 2 years, because of defective batteries and defective Posche BMS programming that overcharged and damaged the batteries.

In addition to the battery and kit, you'll also need a full set of battery removal tools (if you're doing this at home).
You may need these tools
A M6 x 1.0mm Hex Nuts is required but we will put one in the box. We will upload the install tutorial soon as well!

Just ordered the conversion kit. Shows preorder - out of stock but shipping soon. Order number 10002 - I’m guessing I’m the second person to order the kit. Anybody else order a kit?
Will post updates with order-to-shipping times and installation notes when the kit arrives. Looking forward to a good experience!

Ordered the kit on 3 May and it shipped from California on 13 May via FedEx. Arrived 17 May — just before I departed on a trip. Just got home and snapped some pics:
I’m unsure about the exact wiring of the smaller wire. Instructions from the web site describe the connection of one end of the wire but not the other:
“Connect the smaller wire from the retrofit kit as shown in the picture [No picture displayed] and tighten the nut on the end marked "150";”
I know that the battery sensor needs input from the positive terminal. I assume the ring end connects to one of the battery’s 150 amp fusable links (circled, below). Looks like I’ll have to splice the other end into one of the LIN wires. Still waiting on the tutorial to be uploaded to the seller’s site.
@kingstone — Can I get some guidance on this connection?

@Schnave if this doesn’t work or has problems is there a way back to the lithium battery?
I’m wondering what will happen if I have the software updated at the dealership; say for a campaign or recall. I suspect it will overwrite the AGM coding and return it to LFP.
Two options:
1. Talk to the service manager and see if they can code battery back to AGM with the PIWIS.
2. Use the ONE spare dongle code (it comes with two uses) to recode the AGM battery.
Looks like I have some time this weekend to swap batteries and install the kit. Stay tuned . . .
