Congrats!! Very exciting. The TYD app is still showing mine at port in Houston even though it reached the dealership yesterday, and I should be able to pick it up either Fri or Sat.

I was told Gold Coast sold their last S in inventory this week, and Englewood has no cayenne left at all. Don’t know about other dealers but this is what I was told. They could be bluffing but just sharing information.

in terms of premiums I’m not sure there is one now but based on how fast these sell there could be one towards the end of the year. The S model V8 engine is much desired, I personally know half a dozen people coming from other brands looking to shop for the S model. Supply and demands, last year people paid 15-20k over msrp for cayenne.

Thanks SR74. Same to you! Enjoy in good health!! Just received email from TYD that car left the port! 😂 My dealer told me that they still need to perform another update at the dealer but I can still take delivery on Saturday!

My TYD page has some interesting updates this morning for my hybrid. While the delivery date remains 2/29/24, the freeze point moved up a couple of weeks to 11/20/23. Although the manufacturing complete date moved back a couple of weeks to 1/10/24, the build start date remains 12/20/23. I guess that someone slapped their forehead and realized that the Christmas holiday is somewhere in there.

Also, most probably after a careful reading of this thread, Porsche has the car arriving in Houston 2/10/24, but not leaving the post until 2/29/24. Let’s just hope that they get all this update crap figured out by then so that it doesn’t hang out at the port for 2 1/2 weeks.

You are reading way too much into the TYD app. These dates change a lot and are not accurate at all. The primary date is the production/allocation date. The freeze date can change when they want to order supplies, so it can move up sometimes.

The post-production dates are simply a joke and are mostly out of Porsche’s control as a separate logistics company is used to transport the car from the factory to the US port.

Yep, the dates in TYD are loose estimates and have not been close to accurate for me.

A week ago, my GT3 was set to be delivered end of November. Today, it’s in Emden waiting on a ship and my delivery is projected for later this month. And that will most likely change anywhere from a couple weeks to months. I half hope the car misses the ship leaving Emden later today, given the cat 5 hurricane in the Atlantic is very likely to turn north.

My Cayenne S was originally set to be built in August and delivered in mid September. Not yet built and delivery now end of October. Won’t need the stop sale update at port, but still wouldn’t be surprised if the delivery slips by a month or two, from everything I’ve seen from other’s TYD experience here.

It’s nice to have TYD. But it’s not accurate at all. At least not for many/most of us.

Mine Cayenne S deposit was 10% which was $15K USD. 10% deposit on build allocations is not atypical of dealers in my area. For GT build allocations, it can be a lot more.

I believe so if you are looking for a more performance oriented SUV. I only drove about 30 miles from the dealer but was very impressed. It checks all the boxes - performance, handling, comfort, technology! I have owned mnay Mercedes AMGs and always loved their low rumble exhaust sound. This Cayenne S exhaust reminds me of that sound even in Comfort mode.
