Decided not to wait for a 2024
My 2019 Cayenne S warranty expired at the beginning of March so I decided to pull the trigger on a 2023 Cayenne S. Although I know there are positive changes coming in the 2024 refresh, I wanted to keep the same look and feel I was so used to for the last 4 years. For those of you that have had an S, I am sure you can relate. I think the biggest change will be the addition of the adaptive air suspension, Burmester and the new driver assistance features. It has the 22" wheels with summer performance tires just like the last one. The old one with springs still handled great. I also like the V6. It has plenty of power, tows great and gets 24.2 - 24.6 mpg on the highway. I figure if the 2024 S gets a V8 similar to the 2023 GTS, the highway mpg will drop below 20. After having an S, I wasn't ready to go backward to a base for better mileage and with the bump in hp and torque on the 2024 base, I suspect the mileage of the 2023 S will compare favorably.
When making the purchase I evaluated their offer for a maintenance package and tire package. I went back and looked through my service records to compare my actual expenses to their pkg costs. For example, I had one flat that was replaced for $542. I had total service over the 4 year period of $3630. I also purchased one set of tires for $1792. So I opted out of their pkg offerings since they were way more than my actual expense. Note, I put a 37k miles on the car over the 4 year period.
Once I get the car home after the hitch install (part of the deal), PPF, Ceramic and Escort Redline install, I will post some pics in the picture thread.

Great car! I bet you will enjoy the upgrades a ton.
Since most of us are nerds here, one correction. That option you have is the “Sport Design front fascia including lower trim in exterior color” It also extends the rear fascia painted area. There is another level higher, the full Sport Design kit, which makes the entire rear diffuser area painted (high gloss black in the center, white further down on the edges) on the front, has even more painted area on the lower edge of the fascia.
personally, especially on a white car, I feel that the full sport design pack is “too much”, I like your setup.
I really don’t mean to be rude and correct you; I only point this out to help someone who was in my situation 10 months ago when I literally spent an hour on the configurator trying to figure out the different options. When I switched the car from blue to white it jumped out. Ut for a while I was like “WTAF is the difference between the two options?!”

During my search for a new car, I did consider a Cayenne Turbo. I test drove it. It was fun but I couldn't justify the price jump when you loaded back all the niceties. Nicely optioned they all are around $165-175k. It is interesting though how Porsche charges less for the same option on a lesser model. Same with the package prices. Part of the attraction to the Turbo was PDCC and rear axle steering. Most all the ones I saw had it. But for my use of the car, I just never thought it would readily be apparent. Additionally, the Turbo I test drove, the radio didn't turn on. My SA said that Porsche has been shipping cars with Burmesters without the amp because of supply issues. I even had the option to order a new 2023 Turbo but was told Burmester was on Stop Sale. I just could see getting a $170k car without the best stereo offered.

Burning Brakes
We bought our 2023 in Jan from Porsche Santa Barbara (David Zoesch). Now has 1900 miles, still breaking it in, kept under 4K rpm and only 1/2 throttle (there is an ongoing effort on the board to understand 6th gear harmonics in the drive train).

I also asked my SA about the matrix lights and a software upgrade to activate thier full functionality. This is what I received.

Congrats on the new car, it looks great and I love those wheels.
Kind of curious, I've only purchased 911 through Porsche dealer. As someone like yourself whose purchased a Cayenne and a 911 from Porsche, how would you grade the sales experience vs purchasing a 911? Smoother or relatively the same?
