Installed a Pollak 11-893P 7-pin trailer connector. My S came with a factory blanking plate, but no 7-pin vehicle-side connector.
Seems to fit correctly, but I received trailer light error messages when I plugged in a 7-pin trailer-side adapter to test. In fairness, the adapter was not connected to a trailer, therefore no electrical load was present.
Is it normal to get trailer light failures with an adapter plugged in, with no load (trailer) present? I had a 958-gen Touareg and towed alot, but don't recall getting this error. Thanks!
@chassis Did you ever resolution on the error light? Id like to follow your lead and install a plug. I dont understand why a blanking plate would be used. I feel like that is not a "complete" tow package IMO. There must be a bunch of trailer plug standards worldwide and Porsche didnt want to deal with all the options.

I've been avoiding this project, but today was the day.
Deep cleaning and ceramic coating the lower body cladding on my 2019 Cayenne (base). The car is not a youngster - 5 years old and about 39k miles on it. Prior to me getting it, the car was not abused at all, but just driven and used as most people would use a car like this.
I've learned through hard experience - when you commit to ceramic coat something, to avoid remorse and regret afterwards, you have to properly clean and prepare the areas being done.
I had already cleaned this rocker panel twice using a good car wash. Still looked bad. This is an outstanding All Purpose cleaner and works great on carpet, upholstery, plastic and other materials. Gets the job done but will not harm the surfaces. Colourlock brush. The right one for this job. I had to do this process twice to get the various surfaces completely clean. Tedious. Gyeon Prep - used to properly prepare the surface for ceramic coating application. Ensures the ceramic will properly bond with the material. "After" shot #1 Another after shot... This area was particularly bad The ceramic seals the surface and will help ease the cleaning going forward.

Bath day after a week at the dealership where she got her dash replaced (leather was delaminating/ungluing from the base dash, near the windshield above the chrono clock)
Ugh, this is still happening? And in these models? I'm coming from a '15 Macan and the whole leather trim on the dash is basically flapping in the wind.
Did oil change and reset the ODI with iCarSoft. Very simple and straight forward.
What lift is that you are using by the way and how high is your Cayenne raised? Looks like quiete a bit of space under there. Also short oil drain catch container too. If you don't mind sharing...am lookng at 4 post vs low and mid rise lifts so appreciate any help/pointers. Thanks in advance.
Replaced all-weather front floormats with carpeted mats! It's that time of year. Love the carpeted mats for appearance, sound and comfort. Love the all-weathers for protection but dislike them for everything else.
Sorry if it was asked and I missed it, what are you using for wheel dollies?
Since I didn't see that you got an answer from CayenneFrank, I'll guess that those are MaxxHaul dollies like I'm using. Gosh I paid $40 each for them in 2019 and now I see them at $80 each.
