To those who already did some coding on their cars .. did you face any issues when you took your car to the dealer for service or warranty claim? Did they at least tell you that they noticed your modifications to the car software?

I found some companies that will activate/deactivate several features like ALK and Traffic Jam Assist on my Cayenne and I am highly tempted to do it but I don’t want to loose my warranty!

please advise! Thank you

What companies did you find? Do you have links? I have been looking, don’t find much out there.

It isn’t the dealer’s car. They could care less what you do with your car on your own time at your own home unless, that is, your mod interferers with something they are doing on your car. My experience. YMMV.

Has anyone ever activated the high beam assist on PDLS lights (not the PDLS+). My platinum edition 2023 Cayenne e hybrid has PDLS system and one of the feature that I really need is the high beam assist (I live at the country side in Ireland with not much street lighting).

I coded off ***. The dealer did software updates during the 20k service and the updates wiped that coding. No mention that there was coding.

Thank you! Do you know what kind of system update they did? Was it minor to just log the service or was it a new version of the firmware itself?

Has anyone been successful at activating windows up/down with the key fob, teardrop function for wipers, increasing number of blinks with one touch turn signals and / or high beam assist on a 9YA Cayenne using PIWIS3? I have V41.400 + VAS, and coded my 991.2 successfully; my wife recently got a 2022 Cayenne coupe e-hybrid but can’t really figure out the simple coding with PIWIS3… somewhat lost here, all the modules look different and can’t really find an easy way of getting to comfort functions and the like…. @rnlst_log ?

OK, I'll answer myself, hope it helps someonw else, turn out the PIWIS module architecture of the E3 is simmilar to the 992, so after perusing the 992 coding thread, I was able to code the Cayenne for up/down windows and increased blinks on one touch from 3 to 5, have yet to try teardrop wipers and next I'll try PDLS to PDLS+ (no matrix on hers). So anyone wanting more detail on coding their E3, head over to the 992 coding thread for lots of helpful info. As usual, big props to @rnlst_log for his contributions on all these coding threads.

Great post. Do you happen to know how to code the rear cargo hatch to be toggled (open/close) with the keyfob? The other day the hatch on my ‘22 base was open, and I didn’t realize that until I was 1/2 way across a Texas-size parking lot. Big pain not being able to remote close the hatch.

I have not checked into that, but sounds like something that PIWIS should allow to code for....., I'll dig up a bit more into it next time I hook my wife's car up and post back here if I figure that one out. Though now that I think about it, I dont remember seeing anything bout the rear lid under the key fob comfort measures when I was digging up the windows coding.... but I'll look again. I know sunroof was an option, but hers has the fixed panoramic roof so I didn't mess with that.

I just did the kph=>mph setting on the readout in the tach with the x431 yesterday on a 2020CTT changing kmh to mph in the tach. The coding module name has changed (at least for me). I found it under Factory setting-Factory setting units-Velocity
Worked great. I did have to go back into the PCM and select units to get the left screen back to mph, but the speddo in the tach changed and stayed to what I had coded.

Sorry for the cross-posting, but I felt people should know.

If you try to renew your Launch subscription via "Auto Softwares" (on WhatsApp), be aware the he ripped me off. Took the money and ran. I'm an idiot for trusting him, and he's a jerk.

Caveat Emptor

Launch devices (Launch x431's) run on a subscription. A lot of functionality still works if you let it expire, but I've found recently that doing things like resetting your service indicators/dates does not work without an active subscription. Auto Softwares was supposed to be a source for subscription renewals that cost a bit less than from Launch directly. Learn from my stupidity. There is no free lunch.
