I regret to report failure on re-coding to fully enable the matrix headlights. The Porsche tech who is also a sponsor/member of this forum was unable to get his PIWIS 3 version 40.0 into engineering mode on my 2022 Cayenne which meant that he could not view the German language parameters to make the modifications. He told me that he logged on to Rennlist and viewed this thread in attempt to resolve the issue.
He said that the following information might help figure this out:
What is the model and year of your Porsche? I assume that it is a Cayenne based on your videos but what year is it? He wondered if his version of PIWIS 3 could be too old to work on my 2022. He said that he would speak with his software vendor tomorrow about it. His version of PIWIS 3 wanted him to connect to the Internet to function on my 2022 and I think he said that normally isn't necessary.
What is the origin of your PIWIS 3 and what specific version is it? Is it a version that has somehow been modified to work differently and perhaps without restrictions? He speculated that versions that come out of Asia might be different in how they work. He mentioned that failure to get his PIWIS version to work on my 2022 might be a sign that he needed to upgrade.
At least we learned something today ... that it's not that simple.
Any ideas?

2019 Cayenne S, using PIWIS 41.400.
My PIWIS is best thought of as the "Chinese Clone" kind meant to work with the VAS 6154 USB/OBDII dongle (not the legit Porsche dongle, aka "VCI"). Defiintely modified (not by me) to provide Engineering Mode (aka "Mode E").
Automatic coding does not need to be in E mode, standard v mode will do, i believe access to Vehicle Data Maintenance menu is what missing on their PW.

Correct, the steps I followed for my car started with Maintenance of Vehicle Data followed by Automatic Coding.
This might be interesting. Instructions are in Korean, but it should be translatable and parsable. Shows how to code in Active Lane Keep Assist if you have ACC.
I used obdgo pro app to code, piwis is too hard to me.🤦♂️
Very expensive paying by the "feature" that you want to code. By the time you've paid for a few features, you've bought yourself a Launch x431, which is so much more capable.

Have a 2019 Cayenne S that did not come with sport chrono. If I purchase a new steering wheel with the IOSS+ switch is it possible to turn on the sport chrono functions?

Using my Launch x431: Instrument Cluster: Factory Setting-Factory setting units-Speed: change to "Unit_kmh". I did not go drive the car around after changing the setting, but the center/digital speed definitely changed to say "km/h"

Hi Everyone. I've read the thread and now went reading others. But still didn't find the answer. What are exact steps/fields should I take in PIWIS 3 to:
- Change the region from US to Europe (Change miles to KmH, FM Radio Frequencies, Enable other languages (esp Ukrainian).
- Update the Navigation (I've purchased SD Card PCM 5 Cayenne E3 ECE ver 9829) but some ritual with PIWIS is needed as I know
I know this is described somewhere here on the forum but I still cannot find it. Please share the link.
