long time reader but finally subbed because of this thread - taking delivery of a 2018 991.2 GT3 soon and am anxiously reading / ordering parts.
@simaservis1108 - might need your help if i can't wrap my head around all the technical details

Working perfectly from unichip-tec. Asked for Gary and did my order. He helped me with the set up and everything works now. Diamond shortcut button on the steering wheel is also working for "Next Track". Overall happy with the result
If Android Auto remains unavailable for the 2019-2021 Cayenne and I would prefer to use Google Maps navigation instead of the horrible Porsche navigation system, does anyone know if this would work?
I'm wondering if I could get an old iPhone and download Google Maps plus Apple Car Play onto it. I'd then connect the iPhone to my Cayenne by wire to the vehicle's USB port and let it use the hotspot on my android phone to connect to the internet rather than having the phone use a cellular plan of its own. I would let my current Android phone connect by Bluetooth to the vehicle for calls as usual but use the iPhone only to run Google Maps and only when in my Cayenne. If that would work, I could probably get an old iPhone for just that purpose for less than the cost of one annual subscription to the crappy Porsche nav. I'd probably leave the iPhone in the car as I wouldn't use it for anything else. If this idea is possible, I wouldn't even need a cellular subscription for it.
I guess the real question is can one phone be connect by wire to the vehicle at the same time as another is connected through Bluetooth and both be usable as described at the same time?

No, Bluetooth will be disabled once AA or CarPlay is enabled.

Just wanted to give another shot out to @simaservis1108 after my 991.2 went in to Porsche in Hull UK for a Multi-Function steering wheel retrofit and cruise control fit they took away the Android auto that had been working perfectly since Sima originally did it.
Reported it not working to Sima after it returned and it was restored by redoing the previous work over a teamviewer session.
Brilliant perfect service cannot recommend highly enough.
Cheers

however there is much better way to do this by using just dinnk network card and sd to enable android auto with even full screen
