Default Replace Bi-Xenon with LED

Dear all,

First off, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday Season.

Just bought a 2014 Cayenne GTS and I plan on keeping this car for several years. However, coming from BMW with LED Adaptative headlights, I must admit that I’m disappointed with the Bi-Xenon PDLS performance on my vehicle.

Can these headlights be replaced with LED?
Grateful to your suggestions and advices.

best,
Serge

Yes, they can be changed to LEDs, however not all bi-xenon headlights can be converted.

Finally had the opportunity to change the bulbs.

Remove lense, open cover, remove xenon bulb by gently grabbing the green ring and turning

Unclip ring

Clip to LED

Reinstall and plug in

Initial before after. Noticeably whiter & brighter. Took some road pics yesterday evening, will replicate with LEDs installed in the next day or two, as it’s raining today.

Xenon

LED

Before with xenon bulb

With LED

It is noticeable in clarity of things infront of you while driving. Plus, my wife said it's much better, so there's that too

For the cost, time of install and result, I definitely think it's worth doing.

Wondering based on your pics, are you getting more scattered light with the LED? You still have a nice cutoff. But I noticed in the evergreen trees on the left side of your pictures what appears to be light scatter in the LED pic.

100% looks like he's probably now blinding oncoming traffic

I honestly think this is true. If you look at the right side of the LED bulb picture, you can see how far it goes off to the side. Mimic that on the left and it looks like it's going to go right into oncoming traffic.

The comparison pictures are great. I do prefer the warm xenon bulb color over the cold LED. Warm lights are less fatiguing and easier on the eyes on longer drives.

Have had no issues, to date, with on coming traffic. We live in a rural area, so driving on open roads with lots of critters running around, we find it much better.

Totally makes sense. In that case doesn't matter.
