Transfer Case Failure

Had the slipping issue back in 2019. Followed that thread and got my TC fluid replaced. Then came the Porsche extended warranty notice. 3 years later the slippage hasn't come back, and my warranty is about to expire next month. How will I convince the dealer to replace the TC?
Are you 100% sure, under any and all circumstances,
they're is no judder, shudder or slip? In my situation it was very very slight, only early morning (read cold) start up. All depends on the SA and dealership. It does not cost the dealership anything...in fact, it is $$$ for the dealership. Be ready to leave your car at the dealership for day or two. I left mine for a week (they gave me 2021 Cayenne loaner.)

Glad your is under warranty my 2016 is no longer under warranty as all 7 years past 3 months ago. I wonder if P will fix it under goodwill (been a customer since 2006), or will charge me an arm and a leg.

As another data point, I got my 2016 CS back around 2 months ago, now on its 4th transfer case. It was there originally for a replacement front differential but when they looked at the codes, there was also a transfer case fault so it was replaced under warranty. The car has 62k miles on it.

Without a symptomatic TC, you don't. As potentially cheap insurance you could take it to the dealer complaining of intermittent hallmark TC failure symptoms right before your warranty is out. They won't be able to replicate it, but then at least if it fails a bit outside of warranty you have a bit of a case to make with Porsche.

I doubt this will cause failure on other parts, I would say it's the opposite since you are taking the TC and front diff, drive shaft and other parts out of service by cutting power to it.

Recently took my 2013 CTT with 112k miles to the dealer complaining of slipping on acceleration and stuttering on low speed turns and they diagnosed it as bad transfer case. Was 3 weeks past the 10-yr warranty but they contacted PNA and got it covered with no hassle. They had the transfer case in stock so they had my car back to me in two days. Once again top-notch service from the dealer and PNA.

When I pull off hard and stop I occasionally get a jerking feel. On third gear sometimes if I accelerate there is a drop in rpm it’s stuck and won’t go immediately to 4th gear.
