I left mine for a week (they gave me 2021 Cayenne loaner.)
Got some good news from my SA. They were able to confirm whatever I experienced to a faulty TC, so replacement being ordered.

Glad your is under warranty my 2016 is no longer under warranty as all 7 years past 3 months ago. I wonder if P will fix it under goodwill (been a customer since 2006), or will charge me an arm and a leg.

Not sure if I missed the answer to this but, how long was the warranty extended ?

As another data point, I got my 2016 CS back around 2 months ago, now on its 4th transfer case. It was there originally for a replacement front differential but when they looked at the codes, there was also a transfer case fault so it was replaced under warranty. The car has 62k miles on it.

Mine is a 16 and is now outside of TC 7 year warranty so annoyed....

Curious what can happen if I dont repair the TC issue. Does it go worse, any other issues in the future?

what happens if you drive with a bad TC? Are other things going to fail, any one has data points to support y/n? Thanks.

Just unplug the servo motor and drive as a RWD car. You will have no traction control and a message on the dash "Fault all-wheel drive system".

I doubt this will cause failure on other parts, I would say it's the opposite since you are taking the TC and front diff, drive shaft and other parts out of service by cutting power to it.

Recently took my 2013 CTT with 112k miles to the dealer complaining of slipping on acceleration and stuttering on low speed turns and they diagnosed it as bad transfer case. Was 3 weeks past the 10-yr warranty but they contacted PNA and got it covered with no hassle. They had the transfer case in stock so they had my car back to me in two days. Once again top-notch service from the dealer and PNA.

That’s cool to hear. I might be paranoid but I think I’m getting the low-speed clunk when pulling away from a stop that would indicate the TC going. I just changed the fluid and didn’t seem to change anything. It’s very rare right now but I’m almost curious if I should take it in for diagnosis to see if they would replace under warranty, as I’m a few weeks past the extended warranty as well.

I'll trade TC with someone with coverage.

What % of 958 owners have had the issue of TC crunch sound and jerking gone after updating the TC?

Default Could my transfer case cause this problem?

When I pull off hard and stop I occasionally get a jerking feel. On third gear sometimes if I accelerate there is a drop in rpm it’s stuck and won’t go immediately to 4th gear.
