PCA now has a newsletter dedicated to four door P-cars called PerFOURmance news.
The newsletter covers all four door Porsche cars - Cayenne, Macan,
Taycan, and Panamera

Here is a sample article: https://ww2.pca.org/news/oh-no-canada

Other articles can be found here: http://archive.aweber.com/awlist5184484

Great article - and glad to see the PCA finally woke up to what's potentially their largest market (4-doors).

Funny story - especially if you are an Arlo Guthrie fan, and a fan of his famous "Alices Restaurant" epic. I re-upped in the PCA when I saw they had finally recognized Porsches' biggest-selling models. My wife and I went to a wine/cheese/Oktoberfest event, which was a lot of fun - in my newly acquired 10-year-old Boxster. We were welcomed with real warmth. That's in contrast to the annual planning meeting I attended a number of years ago, and when they asked me what Porsche I owned - I told them a Cayenne Turbo. I was immediately sort of a non-person (and I was with my wife.)

Well - we went to the same meeting last month and were welcomed again by people who recognized us from the Oktoberfest. One chap came over to talk, and asked me "What Porsche do you own?"..

I replied, "Cayenne Turbo". Things went silent (on the "Group-W bench") and then after a pause, I said "And a Boxster" where I was greeted with handshakes, welcomes and good feelings all around. It was right out of Alice's Restaurant.

So my thought is - it's still going to take a while to get the 2 door people to become accepting of 4 door people.. but this sort of article and the 4-door newsletter are a big step in the right direction. How might one subscribe to the newsletter (and I'd suggest the PCA send it to ALL members, perhaps including it in Panorama)? Your story was much more interesting to me than a recitation of what happened at some driving event club race.

Don, thanks for the kind words.
On the left hand side of this link is a place to sign up for the newsletter:

Most of our activities have been outside of PCA - giving it one last shot to see if they will endorse Cayennes. Very slow to get SUV events aside from those where we merely tag along with the two door P-cars. Some Regions have SUV events. The most successful I know of is PCA's Northern New Jersey Region which had its 6th Pine Barrens ‘Off-Road’ Excursion. The last 'wash & repeat' Parade had an SUV event that did not get promoted as a new activity. Understand the Palm Springs Parade is trying to have an SUV event but with little advanced promotion.
PCA members want SUV events but the 'leadership' acts like the Wizard of OZ behind the secret curtain - not wanting to listen.

The beauty of our PCA is that if you want to do it, volunteer and do it! I have a feeling a lot of people might want it, but don't want to put in a bit of effort to make it happen or don't realize that anyone can volunteer and make it happen. Our region has been doing off-road Porsche SUV events for years. All it takes is someone in your region to take the reigns: "Build it and they will come."

.
We tried to do just that - organized a successful Cayenne event that colored outside those yellow & white lines. Enough folks liked it their contributions made a two part article in our regions newsletter. Club leadership had no interest in continuing this type of activity so we do this outside of PCA. Regularly have folks asking to join us. We have a Macan joining us on a 5,000 mile (one way) rally this winter that includes Inuvik - Aklavik - Tuktoyaktuk in the NWT and Coldfoot, AK. All of this done outside of PCA.
In one Overland forum, outside of PCA, there are over 50 pages of posts from Cayenne owners that do off-road their SUVs.

Not for lack of trying, even at the national level, its been hard to get a two door centric organization to recognize four door P-cars.
We do have an advocate at PCA who has been working hard to support involvement for all four door P-cars. And, not just as a follow-on to regular wash & repeat PCA activities.
We have been writing a monthly column on what we do for PCA's Perfourmance News. Glad to hear that your region is having success, which one do you belong to?

There are a few pockets like the NNJR region and ORPCA:
NNJR - https://ww2.pca.org/news/pine-barren...d-excursion-vi
ORPCA - https://ww2.pca.org/news/orpca-suv-g...uvs-schnitzels
