Don't get too excited. That's simply ignorance on his part; you do not have a "new vehicle warranty" that goes for 10 years. The 10 years coverage is very well spelled out in the settlement documents and is far, far from the coverage of a new vehicle warranty.

Notice that MOST of your warranties appear to be "New Vehicle Warranties".

No, the 10 year/120K is the settlement warranty and covers only certain things that could be impacted by the emissions fix. Drivetrain and fuel line stuff, basically.

Just to clarify the posting from Petros600. You notice that the two coverage lines say Cayenne Diesel Ex Warranty. It matches what the powertrain warranty says (we usually say 10 years but that may not be the case, specially if you have a high mileage CD to start with). I bet Petros600 did his emissions fix on Jan 16, 2018:

"The warranty period for the “Extended Emissions Warranty” shall be the

greater of:
  • 10 years or 120,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s original

    in-service date; OR
  • 4 years or 48,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the date and mileage at

which the emissions modification was performed."

I just got a printout of mine.

CPO coverage is until 7/9/2021 as my car was sold in 2013, I bought in 2014 and had CPO (2019 end) plus got 2 years additional CPO as part of the offer.

It also has the same 10 year notes but you click those links under coverage and it explains what is covered.

This link assumes a post 'fix' Cayenne.
Is this also applicable for Cayenne's that do not have the 'fix' ?
Pre 'fix' diesels have received remediation both monetary and extended warranty.
.
Looking for what is included in pre 'fix' 2013 diesel extended warranty - both vehicle and emissions.
Also for the duration miles / time the extended warranty is good for.
Thanks,

Today I finally understood that it's not a 6 year warranty, it's a 2 year extension AFTER original warranty expires. Meaning that if original warranty expired after 2 years then extension will only give you another 2 on top.

Anyway, is all the Adblue stuff and DPF etc all covered by 10 year 120k warranty? Is anything else like engine itself covered?

Adblue (or DEF) is a consumable, like oil and fuel, so not part of the warranty.

DPF would be, if it plugs up.

Otis - I think if you don't take the fix, you just get the 2 year extension to your original warranty. The 10 years stuff is for fixed vehicles.

I mean the system itself, pump, heater etc

Oh, yes, definitely. That's specifically part of the emissions fix; they're injecting more. Definitely part of the 10 years.

visitador, do you have a pic you could post of the full letter? I'm trying to figure out why our car didn't qualify for the 2yr extension.

We ordered the car in 4Q 2014, delivered in June 2015, p riot to stop sale.

thanks in advance.
