I bought the 2013 CS with 37K miles on it a month ago.. and have since then, did the following:
  • Changed the 19" wheels out to the 21" sport edition wheels
  • Installed running boards
  • Changed the exhaust tips
  • Replaced the side marker lights to clear
  • Added roof rack cross bars
  • Performed DIY 40k service -- including changing out the TC fluid
  • Added almost 2,000 miles to the odometer

Day I bought it... gassing up for the drive home.

After the changes made over the last month.

That's nice! But $140 for an aesthetic foot rest... maybe when I run out of things to buy.

Thanks! I got some Pirelli Scorpion winter tires installed on them and they handle quite well in the snow! Granted, I've never owned snow tires on any of my cars before... but definitely felt I had more control than my buddy's Acura MDX with 18" A/S tires.

Everything is subjective. Like switching from 19s to 21s, adding the running boards or switching out exhaust tips. I hated not having one, it offers a bit more support and looks alot better with the other pedals.

I have 20inch Spyders now, was thinking of using the 20s for winter and getting the same 21s for summer. But then I started thinking of getting a 944 or 968.

That foot rest looks awesome! I was googling it so I can order one after seeing yours but then learned rennline wants $140 for it. Once I get over the sticker shock, I'll probably end up getting that foot rest as well.

It is a bit of a sticker shock, but worth it. Only problem is the crest is curved so the backing doesn't tighten corectly with the thin aluminum surface so it would spin slightly. I had to applied glue to the back of the crest to keep it in place. There is another option for an enamal crest but I didn't think it would look at good.

Changed out the transfer case fluid + drain / fill plugs as 3-4 shifts were getting a bit harsh. Existing fluid was DARK. Marked improvement in shift smoothness immediately after.

Also used Autologic to lower it so it'd match the 22" BBS SV summer wheels a bit better!

Wheels look great. How does transfer case fluid effect the way the car is shifting? I would think transmission fluid would be the one that would impact that.

I'd suggest starting at the beginning of the transfer case thread and reading it.. the transfer case causes rough shifting, hesitation and when really bad a bit of a lurch on shifts, particularly 2-3 and 3-4. The plates in the case don't transfer the increase in torque smoothly and grab and slip and grab again. That causes what feels like rough shifting.

I'll take your word for it. I haven't read through it since the diesel appears to be less failure prone and I still have a long warranty. I get to read the emissions/hot weather hesitation threads instead.
