Suitcase delete
Eventually doing a side exit exhaust, so I was curious as to what my S would sound like, basically straight piped...So I took out the Sawzall and 10 minutes later it looked like this.
As for sound, it's very similar to a Hellcat or Mustang with a Corsa Exhaust. It sounds pretty awesome. 😆
Cheers,
Jason

More fun with coolant (leaks). Thanks to @twodollardoug and @samtoast threads on our favorite fluid, I had the confidence to tear into the thermostat housing-ectomy and re-oringing.
Looks like it is the seals underneath the housing that were leaking, especially the passenger side.
New seals and o-rings on so tomorrow, time to reassemble the puzzle.

Eurowise
Swapped the front swaybar endlinks for the Eurowise spherical set I finally got around to installing. Link to my build thread for more details: El Spoon's 958 Turbo Build Project Funusual
As I mentioned there, I'm not entirely convinced these things were such a great idea... or are a good design. I hope to be proven wrong. Also, the Eurowise pictures and instructions are slightly misleading or confusing or contradictory, however you want to look at it. Pics for attention
Factory vs Eurowise
Factory vs Eurowise
My install, driver side.
My install, passenger side.
Eurowise pic = confusing because they moved the bottom endlink orientation to the inside of the bar vs the outside as factory...

Those links seem like an appropriate part on a noisy off-road rig that needs geometry fine tuning due to being raised up. Is yours raised? Otherwise factory ones, or OEM would be the way to go if yours were worn out - especially at $25 each or so.

Their picture shows a 957 suspension (if that matters), but it's also on a Cayenne that is raised up a lot which moves the end link attachment further inboard due to the longer strut, probably causing it to be close, or actually interfere on further strut extension.

And I've noticed ZERO increased noise or vibration. Mine is factory height. My intention was firmer/stiffer suspension = increased handling. It's part of my overall suspension goal(s) i.e. tubular or billet control arms (from Eurowise) and/or at least polyurethane bushings everywhere I can i.e. control arms, toe arms etc.

Yeah, it's just conflicting because that product is listed on their page for both "Gen 1" and "Gen 2" Cayenne, assumingly referring to 955/957 and my 958 generation. Makes sense, what you said.

New summer shoes today. Went with Conti Sportcontact 6 in 285/40 this time around to fill the arches a bit. This model also have a bit rounder shoulders than the 295/35 Conti 5P i had earlier, so they look just as wide.

Replaced spark plugs. Records that came with the car indicated the last time these were changed was at 102K, CTT has 157xxx miles on it now. The plugs that came out actually looked real clean and hardly worn. Perhaps they were changed more recently? Coils looked good so reused them as well. They were last changed around same time period as plugs. All of the aluminum bolts played nice though I did replace the back two on both banks - just in case...
Also, just in case you find the coils firmly stuck to the valve cover, use a plastic tire lever to help pull them out. Gentle on the plastics and just the right leverage. I used a Pedro's tire iron in case any of you cyclists out there plan to change your plugs.
55K miles of use, well over the 30K interval...
Coils seemed good, no cracks

Bull bar and roof rack by Eurowise
I just installed a bull bar and roofrack on my ‘14 CD. Now I’m looking for help with wiring the lightbar. Has anyone sourced switches that fit into the console ? I’m hoping for something like the sport mode switch on the left side but for the right side.
