It is like new, except for that "1" way to the left. Easy enough to ignore that.

BTW - Porsche dealer sends me deals on trading in my '11 for a '19 CTT - the numbers don't add up. They claim to be giving me $21k for the '11 (right..) then the new one lists sells for $142k.. and they said all I have to bring along to drive home in it is $130k. Somehow the math just doesn't work. Nor does bringing $130k to the dealer seem very likely to happen.

That's when you ask yourself, "What can I buy for $21k?"

Nada

Today, I got into the engine compartment and unplugged the AC condenser drain valve that was plugged and fixed the spray nozzle to the windshield washer.

How did you get to the HVAC drain from the engine compartment? Can you provide any pics? Might be simpler than pulling it out to clean it from the inside..

I showed you how to do it when I first joined this site. Let me see if I can find it.

I pinned the three coolant lines on our off-road, towing and family road trip vehicle so that problem won't leave us stranded somewhere (104K mile, 2011 CTT). It was a good thing since one pipe was a few mm's withdrawn already despite no leaking. Fortunately the rear crossover pipe fitting was not withdrawn so I could just pin it, versus heat and remove and re-epoxy it:

Refurbished my exhaust tips the other day. Didn't turn out absolutely perfect, but it was a massive improvement from what they were. I think a bit of sanding / few more coats would do nicely.

Replaced some weather stripping on the doors.

Gave him a wash.

Removed the headlight switch and put it back in to convince myself it was an easy DIY when I get the new switch in.

Ran some errands with some spirited driving. Radio off and sport exhaust on.

Spent entirely too long replacing brakes and rotors on all 4 corners. Would have been done quicker if everything wasn't rusted out. Good thing I won't have to worry about rust now that she's out west in the desert.

Gave her a bath after finishing.

Couple things completed over the weekend:
  • Started a log of mileage/changes and organized a binder of documentation (including receipts) of all services being performed
  • Installed Morimoto XB LED Fogs
  • Replaced Transfer Case Fluid
  • Replaced Oil
  • Purchased a set of 20" RS Spyders and TPMS sensors to eventually downsize and replace my Turbo and Turbo II wheel sets (which will be going up for sale)

I don't drive the Cayenne much (only on weekends when I'm back from business travel), but realizing that I'll need to do some TLC over the next year or two...to include a repaint of the front bumper (found some chipping towards the inner side grilles), full detail and paint correction, the paint seems to have been neglected by the former 2-3 owners.

Also, @deilenberger between this thread and the pictures thread, can we have them stickied? Would love to have these two threads easily accessible and regularly updated!

I haven't stickied either one because they never seem to fall off the first page of posts.. the threads are active enough that they stay visible to people. If I stickie too much stuff - people on some interfaces (laptops, phones) just see page after page of stickies and never get down to the newer posts. If these seem to be falling off the first page - let me know and I'll certainly consider it (but I may also decide to move some stickies back to regular posts if they don't get enough traffic to justify keeping them as a stickie.)

Probably clear as fudge..

Makes sense. The only reason why I asked is because this was on Pg.3, but you're right. This is probably active enough. Thanks D!
