Replaced the cabin air filter and added DEF to my wife's CD. So I've completed the 40k "service" that the dealer charges obscenely for. All of it took less than 1 hour.
Cleaned Out My Clogged Cowl Drains & Replaced A/C Filter
Found water in the passenger footwell, which reminded me that I never did the preventive clean out of the cowl flapper drains . After unclogging and cutting back the flapper valves in the wheel wells, I used the wet vac to suck out as much water as I could and then used a towel to soak up additional water. However, the carpet backing in the 958.1’s is like a friggin’ sponge, so it’s still damp. I grabbed a tub of DampRid it hopefully soak up the residual moisture, then I’ll chuck it in our ski boat once the PiG is dry.
Has anyone else used this to soak up unwanted moisture?
Just cleaned my HVAC hose as there was some slight passenger footwell drip. The hose had a bunch of gunk on it and took the opportunity to change out the cabin air filter at the same time, which was quite waterlogged. Probably need to give the cowl drains a look too...
That product looks like a pretty safe bet to try out given the price—would be curious to hear how it works!
Actually was yesterday, and it clicked over while I was doing about 80 on a highway, so this is as soon as I was able to document it. It's just like a new Cayenne now!
