Life is getting real and real fast! -- Received this notice today from Ineos our 'Queens Red' Trialmaster has arrived!
"Your Grenadier has arrived in the US, and has passed all the initial quality checks, which is great news."
Photo representative of ours which will have a shorter front bumper and a winch included.
2nd photo of 'Otis' & DSR at a dealer next to a demo Fieldmaster.
As to the future, will have to see if 'Otis' and the IG Trialmaster play nice in the stable.
.
Well 'Otis' sister 'Chelsea Tractor' also had a bit of a delay getting released from the Port of Tacoma. Pretty awesome that the ship 'Morning Chant' and Chelsea received an escort into port from a pod of Orca whales!
Our Ineos Grenadier has finally made it to Boise, ID for dealer prep. We expect to get our hand-over in the first part of January. After a short SE Oregon adventure on our trip home the shake down begins for much longer trips. 'Otis' is like a family member and will still be in the picture for now.

Going over all our gear and 'Otis' in preparation for hitting the trails this season.
Remembering all the fun we had last year!
Several places in mind, now to down select and do detailed trip planning
This weekend will be attending an off-road driving event at Dirtfish.

Reason: format
We had this custom made over a decade ago. Suggest finding a local shop that fabricates roll bars for track cars.
If you like this style as we do show them a photo. You may and probably should look at more than one place. We spend a lot of time traveling to remote places. This style bush bar has come in handy especially in the forest. If you note on the passenger side we have a provision to stab our Come-Up winch. Yes we have used it to help recover another persons rig. Our winch has also seen use being stabbed in the rear.
Also note that the front to rear skid plates tie into the bush bar up front. And the parking sensors are integrated into the bar.

Thanks for the response. There are some grille guards on the market, but they don't look as good or as substantial as yours. By the way, we live in Anchorage, Alaska, so can relate to your adventures up here in the Great White North! Thanks again!
If you are familiar with Jan Kalmar's adventures, we built 'Otis' as a tribute to his 'Zebra' with our spin on it. Jan has set speed records in his Cayenne diesel like the fastest time from the top of Norway to the tip of South Africa in less than nine days, drove the entire coastline of Australia and more with the same CD that is still doing adventures. His and our CDs are stock with only body protection added.
We both enjoy the north country especially in winter with less tourists and mosquitoes! Would highly recommend doing the ALCAN 5000 Time Speed Distance rally which has been run since 1984, we have done two 2016 & 2020. It starts near Seattle and takes a ~5,000+ mile route (one way) that changes each time. Hardest part is getting an entry as it fills up quickly, those on the wait list stand a good chance of getting in. 2025 will also have a run class for motorcycles.
2025 Alcan 5000 - September 2 to 11 - Kirkland WA to Whistler BC via Quesnel, Fort Nelson, Dawson, Valdez & Hyder. Like 2004 Alcan but longer!
Here is the web page - https://www.alcan5000.com/

Here is the entry form - https://www.alcan5000.com/pdf/2025EntryForm.pdf
Photo a friend just shared that came up as his FB memory from 2017. 'Otis' doing sweep.
"Starting up the infamous "Skull and Crossbones" trail. WABDR, Okanogan County, Washington"
.
If you have not done a BDR - Backcountry Discovery Route they are well planned with GPS tracks, by-pass for more technical parts, updated current trail conditions and more.
While BDR has a dual sport focus, the routes easily work for us four wheelers! We have done several.
Currently they have whole routes in 12 states and have developed shorter / abbreviated routes in some.
Link to the BDR route page - a lot more info on the rest of their page https://ridebdr.com/routes/
The December 2024 Panorama has an article on Porsches competing in the latest Alcan 5000 Rally. 'Otis' competed in both the 2016 and 2020 winter Alcan rally events. The route is different for each event.
"Thirty-five vehicles, including seven Porsches, competed in the 2024 rally, covering more than 5,000 miles of frozen picturesque roads in 10 days, with temperatures as low as minus 45 degrees F. “For the first time in the 40 years of the Alcan Rally, we had more Porsches than Subarus," Hines said."
