I bought this one.

I didn't realize installer already added one to my system. He used this one.

I tried them both, and they sounded the same. I think I left mine in there.
I need to get rid of a spare one, along with a spare bose adapter, and some other stuff I posted about previously, so if anyone needs extras (antenna to fakra connectors and other things mentioned in this thread, let me know).

i'll pm you.

What is this group loop Isolator? I never installed one when I installed my system. I have the 2004 base unit without the bose unit. So it was just a plug and play system for me. Where is this ground loop isolator installed? can you send a pic of how it is installed if you can?

It simply goes between the head unit and the Bose MOST adapter, but is only needed if you get engine whine in your speakers.

RCA out (from headunit) -->>ground loop isolator->RCA IN (at AMP/Most adapter).

I wish I didn't have the Bose system. A regular audio system would be much easier to upgrade.

Anyone know what these yellow plugs are that were on the back of the PCM? I don't have them hooked up in the new system.

I installed this app called boot animation from the play store, and just installed it from the app. Reboot and the porsche animation works. You need to root for this, but the russian firmware comes rooted.
I guess I did something wrong. I tried it, and the spinning worked during reboot. But immediately after boot, I got the error "Unfortunately, the process.com.android.systemui has stopped." Error went away when I went back to the default android boot animation. Did you get that?

Ok, my install wheat well. Once I figured out how the wire harness worked, which one you had to use etc it worked. I did have to order the double antenna into one adapter and should have it by tue. Biggest issue I had was fitting everything into the radio well. I have the 7 inch with CD player so it is as big as the original radio so it took some time moving things around to make it fit. Don't bother with mirror link if you have an iPhone, the lag is horrible. I made the mistake of putting in the mini cd that came with the obdII unit so I am working on getting that out. The rest is just learning how to use the functions. I will put up some pics in a bit.

Word of warning: be sure you go deep when you take the trim piece off. If it sounds like glue coming apart stop. A little gorilla glue and some clamps fixed this right up by the time I was ready to finish up, but save yourself the hartache.

Is anyone else getting really bad call quality? Maybe it is the placement of microphone, or perhaps I need to try one of the nicer ones.

Not here. I used the provided mic mounted to glass above the rearview mirror..feedback from wife is that it sounds much better than my OEM Landover handsfree.

I have poor call quality on the OEM mic. My father couldnt hear me every well. So I bought a replacement mic and its better. He says the volume on the mic is still very low. I got a recording app and man, the volume is so low when I record something. I have no idea how someone can listen to me when I am talking. Is there a control somewhere you increase the mic volume?
