Your right. Found them.

Although for that price they are more expensive for me than OEM but I do like the look of the drilled so I am loosing the Cool factor by not having drilled.

Probably would save several hundred bucks, too, when disc replacement is necessary.
I thought the whole reason they were ridiculously expensive was because they were carbon composite! That makes the setup even more absurd to me.

Absurd? The last generation GT3 also had 380mm two-piece cast iron/Aluminum rotors as standard with Carbon composite as an Option and they did very well on the track so I would hardly say this is ridiculous. They are heavy but would be heavier if they weren't two-piece (which also causes the price to be higher). The ridiculous part is that it is hard to get just the rotor replaced, replacing the Aluminum hat with the rotor every time is a real waste.

You've obviously never priced the cost of replacement Porsche carbon ceramic discs. The CTTS discs, as expensive as they are, are a mere fraction of the cost of the carbon based pieces.

Very nice job! I always thought the Turbo S had the PCCB setup? Learn something new everyday.

http://www.ecstuning.com/News/Porsch...006/ES2602321/ Is this the best deal out there for the brake parts?

So I have probably read through this post 10 times in the last 2 weeks since I need to get a brake job on all 4 corners. It wasn't until a few seconds ago that I realized your part numbers were for an 06 turbo s and not a 09 turbo s. While the parts are MOSTLY the same I think the 957's had 18" rear discs vs the 17" parts you had linked.

So my question is this....where did you get the part numbers for all the other bits including the bolts and hex head screws? I have been shopping on sunset since they have the easiest site to use vs price (IMO) and use the part numbers (which suncoast doesn't use). But when Sunset does the picture blow-up of the parts I don't see any of the extra bolts or accessories. Also, its a PITA because of course all the parts for 2009 are listed as well with out any clear designation on what is for what (except that the PCCB rotors are 4200 each!).

When I asked for the dealer to quote the price (which was ludicrous btw) he asked for my VIN....so is there some porsche site to enter VIN and know the exact part numbers needed?

There is - but only dealers have access to it. You might try getting friendly with your parts counter people and ask if they'd look the part#'s up for you. I was told there is also an "installation kit" available that contains everything you need to replace (springy things, sensors, clips, bolts, etc.)

There are cases - especially with the low $$ items like the mounting bolts - where it's worth paying the dealer parts premium (my local dealer claims to be giving a 30% discount on parts - after they mark it up 30% more then MSRP) just to be sure you get the right parts based on VIN.. or use one of the on-line (and sponsors here) Porsche dealerships - give them the VIN. Even with shipping being extra - they often are quite competitive (and sometimes less) in price with non-dealer on-line aftermarket prices.

And there is a program - called "PET" that runs on PCs - but the latest version I could find was only available on a malware infested Russian website. I don't suggest going there (it took about 3 hours to clean that mess up.. and I didn't get the program.)

This is the rotor you would need for your Turbo S:

In 3D

Dimensions

We built the similar OE brake replacement/upgrade for the comparable SUV such as Mercedes ML63 AMG (390x36) and Jeep G-C SRT8 (380x32).

The only deviation to the OE dimension is the rotor thickness, which we believe 36mm is more than enough to do the job - guaranteed.

RB rotors shall last much longer than OE and other aftermarket replacement, and provide you a with a more efficient brake (see the weight reduction).

If you are interested in upgrading to or replacing your pccb (410mm) you can visit this thread for a solution.

Do you have a link? I just see them for 712 which is good but certainly not 645.

Also, does anyone here know how to confirm if these are Genuine Porsche Rotors....they certainly look the part. And why the hell is amazon selling these directly??? The stock has actually gone up in the last few days as on monday there were on 16 of the left rotor.

Hey spooltime quick question. What year is your CTTS? Mine is an 09 and the rear calipers are a pain and have to be removed b/c there is a non removable bar on mine instead of a pin. You are lucky to have your design.

Part numbers are:
brake disc - L 955 351 401 61 - R 955 351 402 61
Your right, when I searched today they came up at $712. Well, Sonnen has them for $683 each.
