Coool! Another 'Ringer!

I've yet to drive the real nordschliefe, but I can do sub 8min laps in GPL, and sub 11s with my 951 in RACER. I know it by heart!

JW, can you guess which corners I'm at here?
(Don't ask why I'm in 1st gear...)

I know the fastest way is a clean line, but it's SOOO tempting to drift every corner!

It looks like Hatzenbach/Hocheichen to me
Looking back makes it a bit more difficult

GPL is very useful preparation for the real thing. It doesn't really convey how tight a lot of corners are, though Nothing like a passenger ride with a fast driver to give you a feel for that Ditto for the altitude differences. Ex-Muhle looks almost vertical when you get there for the first time

Make sure you visit the Ring at least once, it's not something you're likely to forget the rest of your life

Cheers,

JW

I agree! The 67 F1 cars were so small, they make the track feel wider than it really is.

But the updated version of the track available for RACER is the modern day setup of the ring, complete with the parking lot and entrance booths!!! Driving it in my car makes it feel much more cramped and narrower!

I Will be renting or buying a car to take to the ring the next time I go to europe!! No question there!!

Funny tho, I wonder what the best time a Cayenne Turbo could get on the 'ring.
