FF,

More and more automotive pundits are convinced that the Carrera GT, or some derivative of it or its engine, will find application(s) in racing. It only makes sense, but I think Porsche is keeping the info close to its chest.

Christian,

I surely hope that future will show Porsche isn't heading to the 'wrong' direction, even though, to me, now it seems so.

And I know, next 911 will be something I like (and I admit, I am a 'hard core' Porsche guy. I know many thinks I'm stupid, but I r e a l l y hate cupholders & that kind of stuff in a Porsche, or any real sportscar for that matter).

Anir,

I've heard about that too, and to me, it would make sense (a lot!) but sometimes you hear these rumours that I never could believe they'll be true. I never could've believd that they'll build an SUV, and I was wrong. Now I hear rumours about a pick-up! I sincerely hope they don't do it.

Somehow though (and i hope I'm 'right'), I have a feeling that couple of years from now, we'll be cheering big time at Le Mans! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Ahh, yes. The good old days, when Porsches were real sports cars and didn't have things like cupholders. Or bench seats.

Brickerson, I'm afraid you'll have to go back pretty far - my '59 356 has a bench front seat - factory option.

That was sarcasm. The pic is from a 1955 356 catalogue.
