On the older cars you need these three things activated:
Interior lighting
Coming home lights
Rain & Light Sensors Enabled
The last one I *think* is already enabled, for the autowipers.
If this doesn't work I think we are SOL and some hardware is missing in the 957.
Enabling the DRLs on my car turns on all the exterior lights, just doesn't enable the dash like you said. Leaving the car in the auto position does nothing for me except enable my side turning lights at night I think.

Your post almost sounds like you used google translate from another language. What y'all smoking in the outback? I am able to change tpms and light convenience settings even though i have a tpms fault.

I got constant tpms warnings until... i simply turned off tpms. Problem solved. I have lived without TPMS my entire life and I can continue to live without it. Just another gimmick like back up cameras and adaptive cruise control that I just dont GAF about.

I dont even have a TPMS in my car but when I fitted the Auto switch the lights worked and I was also able to recode the car for coming home lights with Touaregs help.

Well, after buying a switch months ago for my '08 GTS hoping it was plug and play, I asked the dealer to activate the auto headlight function. They did this while the car was in for some warranty service for no charge. Works flawlessly.

Quick tips on removing the existing headlight **** from the dash: Pop open the trapezoid-shaped fuse panel between the dash and driver's door.
Then, with the **** lined up in the off/12:00 position, push the **** in and turn clockwise slightly - it stops about half-way to the next setting. This releases the springs on the fasteners so that they will contract into the cylinder housing. Try it on the replacement in your hand to get a feel for it.
Once sprung like this, it was easy to push through from the back side.
Reinstalling just involves a healthy amount of force to wedge the new one in.

Installed the switch in my 3.2 V6 (MY06) and Turbo (MY05) with great success. Since I live en EU the headlights are always on though. The interior light turns on/off depending on the light as intended. No coding needed - plug and play.
But I have an issue regarding activating the 'Coming Home Light' via Durametric
I had my dealer look into it - even though they refused it could be done as usual - and they manage to successfully program it thanks to the guide on this thread. In both cases I've lost my 'Cornering Lights' and both the light bulbs aren't illuminating any more / also not when turning the wheel.
I had my dealer try to put the settings back (i.e. loose the 'Coming Home') and instantly my Corner Lights where functioning again
