The first time that happened I thought the switch had stopped working correctly.

I had forgotten they turn on over 80-85mph, and kept seeing the dash lights on during a sunday drive up to the Hudson Valley. Which given what a sunny day it was, seemed wrong. It took a few minutes before I remembered the speed thing but then when I pulled off to get gas, they stayed on.

What tripped me up is that the lights don't turn off until you've either stopped for some time, or perhaps drive below a certain speed for some time. I haven't paid enough attention to identify what criteria the car is looking for to turn them off.

So, I guess you can upgrade to Auto even if it was not auto from factory? 08 957 CS

Default Not for 957

Tried this on my 08 GTS but it didn't work. Mudman was going to look into it more I thought but hasn't posted. I'm not sure if it's something that could be enabled via Durametric if you had the switch (which is collecting dust on my desk).

Do you have durametric? Post your coding for the module and I can see what it looks like for you car.

No, I do not have Durametric. Have been looking into it but haven't bought. Since the Durametric enthusiast kit doesn't support coding it seems I'd have to have the professional kit. Not likely to spend that kind of money for the pro kit.

I have the regular kit and can do coding, the author was planning on doing that but I believe decided against it.

Ok finally put in the OEM auto switch $61 odd from suncoast. Bob was a great help. put it in but its kinda erratic. If the car is standing under the porch the lights come on, once I take it out into the sunlight the lights still stay on?? How long should they stay on after being exposed to sunlight?
And somedays it works beautifully.

Car is 04 turbo

Any suggestions?
Mine are working better now....I realised if I pull into the porch the xenons switch on...if i switch the car off before the whole sequence of xenons having levelled etc then they behave erratic...if I let em complete the cycle and then switch the car off then they are ok
