What kind of driving do you do and what is your average speed for this mpg? On the road I get 15-18 mpg. Around town it can be 11 or less :-( depending on the grin factor.

You must be doing a lot of very short trips, most people are in the 14.2 - 19 range except for some "fun" trips or towing a load which will drop it to around 11.

Interesting. I get 525-590 mile range indicator when I fill up and normall average about 18mpg (give or take).
I suppose I could disassemble my Cayenne, leaving no 2 pieces connected, in an attempt to find out why it seemingly gets good mileage.
Wouldn't it be a pisser if the "!" was responsible?
On a more serious note, possible causes for your low mileage:
wheel alignment (you're trying to push 5300#, so it does matter)
fuel mixture
bad spark plug coils/low ignition voltage
low octane gasoline (leading to DME timing retardation)
stuck/dragging brake caliper piston (although you would be able to tell)
dragging E brake shoes (again, you would be able to tell via temperature)
torque converter slip (burnt fluid?)

I can get 19 when just cruising on the interstate at 75-80 in warm weather. probably mid teens or a little less around town. Don't ask about when towing (8-9 depending on wind etc.). Didn't really buy it expecting good mileage- considering how much it weighs it's not bad.

I dont use the CTT during work week, sometimes friday, usually get 17-18 with no traffic, that's of course 60-75mph. Havent tried 150mph yet , That'll be crazy here in Silicon Valley, fastest I've gone was 120mph me and my wife early morning on highway 5 going towards LA , was gonna go faster but my K40 started beeping,my wife had that grin on her face when we passed the CHP at 75mph.LOL
