Gas Cap Question
On my 996 the cord connected to the gas cap is long enough for it to hang without touching the car, thus preventing any scratches.
On the Cayenne the cord isn't long enough and if you let it hang you can end up scratching the side of the car.
What do you guys/gals do with the gas cap when you fill up?
Thanks

There's a little shelf on the gas door lid. Let it hang off the shelf from the cord.
I wondered about it myself the first time I filled it up.

After 7 years and +/- 7 months later, I've brought this thread back to life again; only to ask a silly question!
Seriously, how many of you have actually forked out the $130 to buy this fancy cap?

Andy - LOL! I saw that gas cap on Suncoast and said to myself "wow, that's nice looking, but what's the point if I can't see it!". I think it should come with a kit that converts your filler door to an external cap so it can be seen and admired. Then this gas cap would cost $1,300 and another $4K to have a body shop mold it in. Then it would be a "good deal"!!!!!

They have a fancy oil filler cap you can buy too. Just in case you want to leave your hood up and the grocery store so passer's by can see your beautiful oil cap. You could get both and also leave your fuel filler door open so everyone can see the beutiful filler cap. Or just drive around with it open like you see other people do all the time, and I thought they were stupid, they must have a cool fuel filler cap there, I need to look closer next time.
