CD stuck in PCM
Hey Guys,
Today one of my friends put a CD in my stereo upside down.
I can't eject the CD out
Is there an emergency way to get it out without pulling out the entire PCM or will I have to pay a visit to the dealer?
Thanks for any help

Update!!
OK, here was the deal, there were 2 CD's in the PCM and it didn't want to eject.
Took it to the dealer and one of the mechs said 2 CD's stuck means new $2100 PCM unit and 3 Hrs. labor for a grand total of $2400.
Let me add that the master tech was not there to look at the problem so it was really inconclusive if the other CD could be taken out without new PCM.
OK, let make this long......
After hearing this wonderful news my blood pressure went up and figured I would get some dental tools and see if I could remove it myself.
I could see the 2 CD's in the slot and took a butter knife and seperated the 2 CD's when I hit the eject button.
I then put the dental tool thru the CD hole on the top CD then hit eject, Ripped the CD up and pulled like a ****.
$2400 now in my pocket, not a Scratch on the PCM or CD unit just a toasted CD. Everything works perfect
So, for some words of encouragement, it was a 5 minunte Job and didn't need replacing was a bit of a pain to get it out without damaging something.
I have to say that the CD unit was a defctive design. It shouldn't take the 2nd CD without ejecting it out considering there was a CD inside of it already.
Becareful and only manage your own PCM's !

I do indeed feel much better.
Man I tell you, that was a crappy experience!
Look at the tools I had to use to get the CD out
No Home Depot or Lowes that sells needle nose plyers that are skinny enough to fit the slot.
I am just using the changer for now on

Good work clearing the discs.
Hopefully it was not the NAV disc that was damaged. Another reason to make working copies and store the originals, as defined in this post: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...hreadid=111012
