Make Working NAV CD Copies
The post titled: "TT in the shop for...", from KY_soldier, identified that there are significant costs associated with loss or damage to the NAV CD-ROM discs. As was reported, these discs cost $200 to replace the set.
The automotive environment is no place to use a $200 set of discs. As was recommended, I also made a working copy of these discs. These have been tested and work fine. The originals are now safe in my office, while these copies will be used daily.
This procedure costs very little, in time and money and has the potential to save lots of aggravation and cost, should problems occur.
