Parking sensors, what a pain they are.
When we got the car the rear PDC never worked, we had power (two sets of red lights) but no actual sensor going on. So ordered some replacement VW/Porsche ones from germany and set about dismantling the car. Up on the ramps she went and then using this handy link from Pelican
https://www.pelicanparts.com/techart...er_Removal.htm
took the rear bumper off. Discovered a ton of dirt, stones, soil you name it behind the arches and in the back all tucked away. So my wife loves that kind of stuff so ff she went
The bumper was pretty bad as well so I did that, only to get at the sensors and loom.
Think we found the problem. At the end of the loom , connector end, found a snapped cable. So a little bit of re-wiring and heat shrink it was good as new. Tested the sensors but 3 had failed so we replaced those.
Back all clean and ready to received the bumper
Then found one sheared bolt on the underside ( very un german like !! ) so got the angle grinder out and then drilled it out. Re-tapped it and popped a new SS bolt in there. Popped the bumper back on, off the ramps and tested the sensors. All working 100% so job done
Next job, the leaking windscreen washer jets, oh joy

Took her to the first soccer tournament of the school year, where she also got a natural bath back at the hotel between games

Race Car
I did some Preventative Maintenance! First, I pulled the fender liners, pulled the cowl drain and cleaned out the leaves/pine needles, etc. I see this as a few minutes spent to prevent a costly issue with water on the cabin floor later. Haven't had water on the floor and want to keep it that way. Mine were pretty clean probably due to the original owner (9yrs , 40k) keeping the CS as garage queen and using it for weekend outings. The plugs were in good shape, very pliable so I cleaned everything up and put it back together. I put the plugs back in thinking is would prevent rodents from nesting which is worse than some leaves.
I then went on to take a look at my Cardan Shaft bearing support. At 68k miles, it had not ripped YET, no thumping, but it looked a little dry and cracked. Being a little ****, I like to depend on a car, jump in and drive 500-700+ miles on a weekend and I knew it was not IF it would fail, but WHEN. I went ahead and installed the EPS Bearing support Mount. The Jimi Fix is nice and I have had a bag of 1.25" lengths of 5/8" heater hose, zip ties, and razor blades in my trunk since I bought the CS in February, I liked the design of the EPS mount and went for it. Very easy to install. As others have mentioned, cleaning the rubber off the bearing is the most time consuming part.
I will report back over time if the EPS mount works as intended. Still keeping my bag of 5/8" heater hose and zip ties in the trunk.

Got the cabin auto recirc working again and cleared fault code 1592 by replacing the air quality sensor.
it’s a VW part, common to many vehicles. 7l0 907 643 and has been superseded by the same part nunber with an A at the end 7l0 907 643A
This thread helped to find it.

Pulled a 6000lb trailer to Banff and back. 4,400 miles
averaged 8.4mpg because we hauled *** the whole time
(yes, I used the air suspension to level the trailer when we weren't unhooking

Stretching the Pig's leg.
Today I took the pig for a drive from Wiesbaden to Karlsruhe. About a 140 kilometer drive to visit my wife's family. I got the Pig up to 230kmh for about 30 minutes or so. It ran very well.

Opened the hood, turned my work light on, looked at all the lines, smh and had a beer..lol. Then I looked to see where I'll be routing my dashcam wires permanently once I get them. I did put the belly pans on that I had off for the last week or so..
