Best Catch Can 2018 Edition

That's why I didn't recognize the piece you attached to. I'm running a HHR CAI so that airbox piece isn't there in my car. I'll likely just attach mine to the block off plate that the air filter comes through once I decide to tackle this.

Getting ready to hookup the plumbing and I tried to loosen this connector but it won't budge. Granted I only tried once..lol..
What's the trick in getting her off. Everything else is disconnected .....
I did squeeze the lil tab, guess I need to apply more pressure. I was in rush to go grab a bite......

Thanks J, I'll try again in the morning.
So since the plugs r right there I decided to take a peek and see how they look and to inspect the coils. No surprises found, plugs all looked about the same and no cracked coils.

I tried one more time, and it won't budge. At my age, I need easy, so I ordered the below. Got her off in a second....
And when I looked hard, pipe cracked....no lie...lol

This part goes away, and the connectors from either end will now be used for the catch can hose connects.

I'm using a 1/2 to 3/4. 1/2 is what came with the kit.
Getting this hose back on all the way up is a royal PIA. What tricks y'all got? And space is tight.
edit: got it on after swearing, lil oil, using a pick, and side to side pushing...smh

Review since the install........
Maybe it's all in my mind, but since the install I swear my car runs smoother and quieter.
Such a simple cheap mod, everyone on here should install one like yesterday.
Don't wait for the miles to add up, do it now..

Bumping to get some input. Looks like the 2 recommended options in this thread are the Radium dual catch can setup, or the single McNally Gen 2 catch can recommended by J'sWorld. Anyone want to chime in with how their setups are performing and what the better option would be for a 955 turbo? Also for the McNally catch can, what does the third port connect to?

Here's mine, a dual baffled can set-up, AN12 hoses/fittings and I used Gates hose 'clamps' (they are the Power Grip SB clamps, look nice and seal well).
Can 1 - comes out of the top factory AOS, into the can, then back into the middle PCV (or whatever that valve is at the front of the engine) connection.
Can 2 - out of the lower PCV (or whatever that valve is at the front of the engine) connection, into the can, back to the turbo/air inlet down the bottom on the left-hand side.
I can't put the front cover back on due to how big the lines are, I could, but I'd have to trim it and it doesn't look that bad anyways.
While I was going I re-did the lines at the back of the AOS too, mine weren't cracked, but while I was going type thing - what was cracked was the stupid t-piece of the back - that was fun with the next to zero room.
I also changed the AOS diaphragm (from https://vanos-bmw.com/ (it wasn't torn/perished but did look a bit average) and N75 valve as preventative maintenance.
I should probably take the beauty covers off and clean it properly, yeah, maybe one day...

I'm glad it worked out for you! Nobody does this mod. Whatevs.
For the record what I get locally at Autozone is Armormark 19/32 emissions/pcv tubing. This is the correct tubing to use without breaking the bank and still being able to integrate it with factory fittings. It is hard to get on a 3/4 fitting. Like I said earlier I heat it with a heat gun while stretching it with something. Leave the something in there and let it cool and sit overnight. When you remove the something use some hairspray to install it over the fitting and as things heat cycle, it will become extremely tight.
Oil vapor also reduces octane considerably so just another benefit. I just noticed the post with your hoses collapsing under vacuum. I assume you had the pcv valve installed incorrectly. It's more than possible. I have done it being in a hurry.
You guys totally one-upped me using two catch cans! Awesome! If I could only have one it would be the primary. That's what I run now.
I really like the spin on filter adapter mod. I also one-upped the recommendation from LN engineering and use a larger capacity Napa Gold filter than the one they suggest.
Those plastic housings get so tight after a while. They crack/warp, and leak. What's not to like about more filter capacity and a super easy change? I only hand tighten mine so I can still remove it by hand. Never a leak.
