Thank you for acknowledging our efforts to provide buyer/seller feedback.

​​​​​​Your response captures the purpose of our new forum. Potential buyers and sellers will now have the resources to locate and/or sell parts. Conversely, sellers will have an opportunity to screen buyers from chronic shoppers. Positive and negative experiences can be posted for others to review.

I am trying to get our administrators to seperate the forum to provide forums for vehicle buyers/sellers and parts buyers/ sellers. I feel this will provide better organization .

True - don't have one of those - yet, so haven't done a 993 project, which is where the leftover parts end up coming from.. Someday, I'd like to add a 993TT - maybe a RUF Turbo-R, but am currently out of space to add anything other than another garage LOL.

Bob, with little new activity in this subforum over the past 24 hours, I've been thinking about how it could be structured to be easy to use and functional so I'm throwing these ideas out there. Also, maybe post a link to this forum in the Announcement you created.

1. Put a sticky at the top of the Marketplace forum for this thread so whenever anyone is in the Parts Marketplace they can easily link to this sub-forum, like the one with selling rules. I had a difficult time finding this last night and I knew where it was. For it to work, it has to be easy for users to locate and the reason for the "sticky"
2. Then, in this forum, have a button at the top like there is in the Parts Marketplace where people can "Create a New Forum Thread". This will allow users who do a lot of selling in the Marketplace to open a thread on themselves, titled simply with their Username. Without this, the single thread will become unmanageably long and difficult to find information on the specfic seller you're considering doing a transaction with. Alternatively, you as a Marketplace Admin could create these individual threads in the subforums for anyone who has an active For Sale ad in the Marketplace - this way, people who don't usually have positive transactions won't have the option to not create a thread on themselves. Anytime a new listing shows up from a member who doesn't have a feedback thread, one is automatically created for them.
3. When someone purchases something from a member, they can go into that users thread in this Marketplace Feedback sub-forum and leave a comment about the transaction.
4. Each thread can have a Poll at the top as simple as 3 choices - Positive, Neutral, & Negative. For each transaction, that poster can do 1 vote in the Poll which will start a feedback history on transactions with that seller, providing a quick snapshot for a prospective buyer to see a sellers feedback rating and transaction experience history. Any buyer leaving a negative or neutral poll vote should also create an entry in that thread about why he did so, which will give the seller the opportunity to comment on that buyer's feedback
5. Now when someone is interested in purchasing something from a seller, they can look up that seller's thread in this Marketplace Feedback Sub-forum to see the Poll at the top and the comments left by other member buyers about previous transactions.

My suggestion is to keep it simple. Organize the site to provide for classifieds. Under classifieds have a section for buyers/sellers feedback. In the buyer/seller feedback section members post their experiences .
I collect 1970 Oldsmobile 442's .There are very few authentic 442's available, let alone parts. We have it organized the way I described and it works great. Buyers and sellers go to one central area under classifieds for buyer/seller feedback .
