Jslo is either dead or sold their Porsche. No replies. I ended up having to replace the entire PCM at Porsche $5k CAD. Works now but really wish I could have fixed it myself with the help of people here.

Too afraid to disassemble my new HD to clone it, even though I should on an SSD for future backup. I’m not great at the computer stuff.

Just wanted to post, a thank you to Ozzythething. I tried to clone the HDD myself but it was too corrupt and damaged. I reached out to Ozzythething and he sent the SSD and update disc the next day. I finally got sometime over the weekend to replace the HDD in the PCM. Everything worked seamlessly. I replaced the drive, plugged everything back up, ran the update disc, and everything is working again as it should. Don't hesitate to message Ozzy.

Hi @Ozzythething my name is David and am in dyer need of your assistance.

A couple weeks back I was driving my 2013 981 Boxer when my 3.1 pcm started resetting every 3-5min. I stared scouring the web to find a solution and that’s when I discovered the thread on rennlist.com.

I attempted to replace my damaged hdd with a new ssd using the instructions on the form but came to realize that the data on the old hdd was so corrupted that it wouldn’t allow me to clone the software on to the new ssd.

I already have the update disk but would you happen to have an already cloned or spare ssd with the software already pre-installed? I’d super appreciate it and would gladly purchase it from you.

Just mind boggling that Porsche cant just sell a replacement drive. Its just not that hard.. and a 5000 alternative is crazy.
