TT cab problem
So here is the problem. I am supposed to take delivery of my new TT cab next week. I ordered the car with the PCCB's and the car came in without the PCCB's.
The dealership(Auto Gallery) is saying they can install the PCCB's at the dealership, is this true??? Should I be concerned???

That's a pretty big F-up IMO. Are you sure it's your car? Check the VIN on your pro forma invoice when you ordered the car. If it was truly their screw up they can easily swap them out for you. But I would push them for some "free" extras as goodwill, like a clear bra or something.

If you have the VIN of a car that is equipped with that (Exclusive) option (and of course the right color), then it can be ordered.....and simply installed on your car.

Yes, but they failed to submit it as an exclusive option even though I asked for it, by the time I found out it was on the boat.
I actually tried that with a friends vin, no dice.

I guess they did not give you a print-out of your Pro Forma Invoice with your reference number, VIN, etc. Seems like that ought to be standard operating procedure.
Regardless, I am sorry to hear you bad news. I guess PCCB is one of the best options to leave off though. It can easily be retrofit. What if they would have left Sports Chrono or one of you other important option off?

Sometimes when a particular option is out of stock from their supplier, the short shifter comes to mind, the car can't be ordered. In that case the dealer/customer either changes the order or pulls out of line. At least that was my understanding of the process. Could be your dealer decided to take the car anyway. In that case, go for a steep discount because they should have gotten your consent to accept the change.

If the dealer can swap-in the PCCB without charging extra, then I think it is not a deal killer. Just ask them to document it in the paperwork/dealsheet before you sign it and pickup the car, for the record.
