Haven't updated in a while. I have not really done any major work on the car, just been enjoying driving the **** out of it. The most recent work I've done is removing of my BBi Barcode exhaust and installation of a KLINE stainless steel cat deleted system. I will soon be installing some upgraded intercoolers and once installed, will likely have the car tuned.

I also gave my rear suspension a much needed refresh. New spring insulators and bump stops.

@NSXavier The yellow bird a sight to be seen as you passed me yesterday on 270 taking the Clarksburg exit. It was sweet to see another German sled with Volks TE-37s. Mine was the lowered blue SQ5 with the bronze TE...

Hey! Yup, I was headed to Clarksburg road to enjoy some twisties. Your SQ5 looks great with the whee/tire/suspension setup!! VOLK TE37’s is a winner on ANY car.

Yellow.. Only because I saw in the person and in action I am still trying to track down a set of for TEs for my GT4 in 20s to clear the PCCBs. Holla if you come across a set.

Good to see you're still cranking.

I'm currently plasti dipping mine "aluminum" to go on SY GT3.
Original finish = bronze = no good on SY IMO

Bringing my build thread up to date with another quick video of all the current mods. It has been a wild 11 months. I bought this thing at the beginning of quarantine. It has been through a major service. It has had its Powertrain removed twice. It has gone through two exhausts (about to be three), and had a plethora of upgraded OEM and aftermarket parts thrown onto it. Out of every car I’ve owned, this 997 Turbo has been the most fun to work on, drive, and modify. By now, I’m usually bored and looking for something else.. but I see no end in sight.

One hell of a build and beautiful car. When I get back to VA would love to see it in person. You know after the weather breaks. Congrats.
Cheers, Mike

OMG... best real life, homegrown video EVER! Made me smile, laugh out loud with excitement and joy and it's cool to see a young guy that loves and adores his car as much as this 60 year old. To see the inside and outside in motion like that, and not be a professional video but something homemade like this, it was truly magnificent. Thx for sharing this. I'm in Gaithersburg MD. What city are you in? Maybe I'll see you and it at a Cars and Coffee one day when Covid's a thing of the past. I plan to go to the Porsche Swap Meet this year at it's new location in PA. Can't wait...

Thank you! I'm glad the update video is being well received; I plan to make more 997 Turbo content (installs, mods, maintenance) depending on feedback I get on the YouTube channel. I'm right down the road from you in Rockville. Being a local, you'll probably recognize some locations in the video- Rockville Pike, 75/80 Dragstrip, I-270, the GEICO lot off of Tower Oaks BLVD... anyway- message me if you would like to meet up for the Potomac Cars and Coffee that is held every Sunday. Me and a group of DC/MD/VA owners usually met up beforehand and caravan in. We are also all planning on attending the PCA swap meet in May and will likely rally to Carlisle from Montgomery County.

Cool video Xavier. TE37s are timeless. What exhaust are you ditching the Kline for again?

One of my favorite cars on the forums and it just keeps getting better. Really like your approach to mods, all very tasteful and cohesive.

I was wondering the same thing. Xavier, did you sell the Kline? I might be replacing my Speedtech soon after all as opposed to getting a quieter x-pipe from them.

I’ll be having a local fabricator build a custom one out of titanium.

The KLINE will be FS at the end of the month. I put FS threads up for it on here and 6Speed and will make it available again and bump them once it is off the car.
