I hate seals. I did the trans seal on my Audi UrS6 and it leaked. Pulled and it replaced and it leaked AGAIN. Left it since it seemed to calm down at that point. Not sure if it swelled or what. I am OK with O rings and gaskets, just seals that rotate I am feared of.

But, like I said, I hate seals. There must be some secret way to install freaking seals.

Cool 3d printed tool! I didn't immediately realize it was 3d printed.

Finished everything up today. She’s running like a top. I drove it really f*cking fast on the interstate and everything was great! On mile 9 a glorious cloud of smoke began billowing out of the engine compartment... immediately after a 3rd gear pull. This had me quite worried.

Plugs with the slave kit didn’t do too good of a job of plugging the PS reservoir. SMDH. Nothing like your PS reservoir peeing pentosin all over your freshly finished and cleaned engine.

I remedied this by emptying 3 bottles of spray-9 onto the engine compartment and undercarriage and then hosing it all down with a low pressure garden hose. I think I got all of it washed out. I then used a leaf blower and compressed air to dry it all out.

I made two proper plugs for the PS reservoir by welding the M1.00 flare nut shut and then screwing it in. I then used the appropriate sized plug for the shark bite fitting.

I LOVE the EVOMS kit and will not knock it. The clutch feels amazing now that I can tell where the release point actually is. I tried installing the clutch assist spring but got fed up after about 5 minutes of contorting my body to access and remove it... so I left it out. Surprisingly the factory assist spring feels just fine.

The car hauls ***. I can feel a difference with those oil holes wide open on bank2 cams. Power doesn’t seem to taper off in the top end anymore. And I have peace of mind knowing they are pinned and won’t spin.

Wow well done!!! and in record time.
Sorry about the leak but seems to be under control. I forget did you have the P0021 code? I had the bank 1 fully cam spun no code,

[QUOTE=NSXavier;16593568]Yes and I have sneaking suspicion that the seller sold it because he got P0021 one day and freaked out. i literally have only driven the car for less than 500 miles and the bank 2 cam sleeve was halfway rotated. That's neither here nor there.. but it would make sense. It's tough to buy these cars with no underlying issues. Good news is that it now has an owner that will do what needs to be done to make it perfect.

Thanks for the reply.
Looks like it is in VERY capable hands.

May ask you later a bit about your custom PS hose solution.
I resort to taking the lid off rather than removing the hose to prevent damage to the hose's surface.
Enjoy!

Yep, feel free to PM. If anyone is interested in the PS line, I was thinking of having a run of them made. It will come with the -8 crimped female AN hose, worm clamp, and NPT to AN adapter fitting.

You would need to purchase 1/4-18NPT Tap.

The best way to tap the reservoir is to remove the lid so you can make sure the tap is straight.

After the engine was installed I did take a look at where the hose plumbs to and it is very tight, but it looks like if you remove the oil filler neck and move it out of the way you can access the hose union.... how you would cut the crimp in half to remove the hose is the the only problem I see.

anyway, let me know here or on PM and I can get some made and ship them out.

Congrats on a job well done.

I'm also interested in buying a PS hose from you if you make a set. The OEM plastic clip is shameful and mine is cracked but holding on for now.

Drove the car all day yesterday. Gave it a good wash from all the Pentosin spewing onto the rear bumper and decklid. It's good to have her back in the garage. I've got some more mods I plan to install in the next few weeks. Will update as I go.

PS LINES: If I get at least 3 people committed, I'll go have some made. Price would be around $100.00 shipped in the CONUS.
