little back story to this car as pointed out by RL user "Flachbau"

"Hopefully who ever bought the car knows what they're getting ... by carfax is sounds like the engine hand grenaded and what wasn't destroyed in the explosion burned up in the fire (maybe literally). Carfax is usually not very specific but in this case it's quite revealing ... Wing/spoiler replaced/repaired ... ? And a lot of gaps in the rest of the description .. use your imagination to fill in the blanks ...

Battery replaced
Clutch release bearing replaced
Clutch replaced
Engine compression checked
Engine removed to complete repair
Flywheel/flexplate replaced
Engine/powertrain computer/module checked
Body computer/module checked
Muffler replaced
Wing/spoiler replaced/repaired
A/C refrigerant recharged
Spark plug(s) replaced
Starter overhauled/repaired

It almost makes me happy there is something wrong with this car - if ever there was a perfect replacement for my 991RS this likely is it - even if I vowed to never buy another car w/o A/C after the Clubsport . Without issues I wouldn't pay 400K for it , but the build makes me lust after it more than a 4.0

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm looking to join the GT3 owners club, so if anyone's thinking about selling their white 997.1 GT3 or sees one that might be worth looking into let me know

Just keep an eye on the Rennlist Classifieds and there are also usually a few available on CarGurus and ebay.

By the way, you have good taste in the model and color.

Swithcars & Porsche of North Houston have very clean & exceptional GT cars. Very trustworthy folks. I plan to buy one of their beauts in the future if I fail to get a .2GT3 this year.

I've been searching for almost 2 years now and I've only seen ONE that fits that description. I gave up on colors a while ago now just focusing on a few options (PCCB, LWB) and in my price range.

I'll keep an eye out and PM if I see anything my way!

the good thing that we have on our side is time; over the past 24 months, prices of the .2RS have dropped about 10-20K. I figured we are pretty close to bottoming out---I think this year would be a good year to buy one!

If I remember right - Porsche houston sold a very low mile blue / gold car a few months back - above 300k

This 7.1 GT3 has been on the market a while, anyone know anything about it or gone by to see it?
It looks pretty good from the pictures and relatively well optioned, I'm just curious if there's anything other than the mileage driving the price down because it seems kind of low.
